Set amidst 27 acres of tropical oceanfront gardens and lawns, fronting the best and most exclusive half-mile stretch of Kaanapali Beach, the Royal Lahaina Resort is a truly unique Hawaiian Resort.
The resort's original garden and oceanfront cottage accommodations, located throughout the resort gardens, evoke a quaint beachside experience reminiscent of Hawaii's Plantation Era. While the 12-story Lahaina Kai Tower has just completed a 30 Million-Dollar refurbishment, it features luxurious island inspired guestrooms and suites celebrating the artistry, environment and culture of Hawaii. Cottage Rooms, as well as Family Cottage Suites with kitchenettes, are available. All cottage units are resort owned, feature daily maid service and offer a uniform island-style d?cor with casual wicker furnishings. Guestrooms and Suites in the Lahaina Kai Tower feature tasteful new d?cor and luxurious appointments hand-selected by Hawaii's top Interior Designer. Custom designed to entice the senses and connect guests with their tropical surroundings, each room features rich teak furnishings and fine natural materials, as well as state of the art technology and in-room entertainment such as HD Flat Screen Televisions, Cordless Phones, Wi-Fi, and Ipod ports. Located within the Kaanapali Beach Resort, the Royal Lahaina is a short walk from the Whaler's Village Shopping and Restaurant complex, and is three miles north of historic Lahaina Town, the former Royal Capital of Hawaii and rowdy 19th century whaling port, which is now celebrated for its historical points of interest, quality shops and galleries, world-class restaurants and exciting fun-filled night life. The resort features two oceanfront swimming pools, is adjacent to the two Kaanapali Resort Golf Courses, and has been named among the top 100 tennis destinations in the world, with an 11 court Tennis Ranch. The professionally staffed Royal Lahaina Beach Activities Center can provide assistance with beach cabanas and a multitude of leisure pursuits, including snorkeling, scuba, and full PADI scuba certification courses. The Royal Lahaina Resort offers unique dining experiences at two on-property restaurants. The Royal Ocean Terrace Restaurant and Lounge combines traditional American favorites, Fresh Seafood and Pacific Rim specialties, in an open-air setting overlooking the crystal blue Pacific and the neighboring islands of Lanai and Molokai. Each evening as the sun sets a traditional torch-lighting ceremony is presented and throughout dinner service a graceful hula dancer and solo musician perform Hawaiian classics. Basil Tomatoes offers Italian cuisine in a casually elegant atmosphere offering wonderful views of the Kaanapali Golf Course and Maui Coastline. Guests can also relax and enjoy cocktails at the resort??s ocean-side Barefoot Bar, or enjoy specialty drinks including the Original Mai Tai, and live Hawaiian music, at the Don The Beachcomber Tiki Lounge. Most recent user reviewsScore 2 out of 5 Staff were good Anonymous Take Trolley & Small Bus to Lahania,or part way there to 'Whaler's Village. Great Shopping at either one.The On-Going Building Projects make the facility questionable as a Resort? Parking is a problem , as is noise & dust. I was disapointed in general. However, is a great area & when Phase I get's complete ,the other work may cause less of a problem. I might go back at some future time to see difference. I did enjoy the 'Whaler's Village & Lahania which are nearby. Score 4 out of 5 Relaxing Gary, Los Angeles, CA It's only a short drive from Front St., the center of everything in Lahaina. The Royal Lahaina Resort was very relaxing. It's tucked away just enough to be secluded, but not too far away from all of the action. I found the new upgrades to be very attractive, so I was able to overlook all of the outdated, and under-developed parts. The hotel staff was very helpful in making my stay more comfortable, but the parking lot, due to the popularity of their luau, was a mess. Overall I enjoyed my stay. Score 5 out of 5 Remodeled rooms are great Anonymous The Royal Lahaina put us up in a newly remodeled room which was very nice. The room had a nice desk area with up to date hookups. The bathroom had a separate area with the shower and toilet which was very nice. There was a safe for an additional price and parking was only $10.00 per night. The Luau was not anything I would recommend. The food was marginal and the surroundings nothing special. Score 5 out of 5 fine. nothing special for the money. david, Detroit, MI The snorkeling just south on the beach is terrific. This was a very nice hotel, but was about what I'd expect for the money. The staff was very professional and friendly. The rooms were adequate, though nothing special. The beach and pool services were terrific, and the Mai Tais were great. The balcony of my room lacked privacy Score 5 out of 5 Recently Remodeled Anonymous, Dallas, TX Short walk through the trail in the golf course and along the beach front takes you to a shopping mall - Meals and alcoholic drinks are fairly expensive in this hotel district, so the mall is a good place to pick up snacks and liquor / beer for the room.Hotel was recently remodeled and had a very clean feel to it.... Flat screen TV in the room was a great touch! Score 4 out of 5 Ok for the Money! Anonymous, Chicago, IL, 2007-03-11 Room was very nice and clean, staffing was friendly. P.S. When all the remodeling is complete then we all could review the hotel til its fullness. Score 4 out of 5 Great Hotel Anonymous, Chicago, IL, 2007-03-09 Great for the ocean, location, shopping and dining.Great hotel. However, was still under construction and the reason for not all top scores - BUT, despite construction, they handled it beautifully and it didn't disrupt our stay. Highly recommend the hotel! Score 5 out of 5 beautiful views megan, San Francisco, CA, 2007-03-05 Wonderful Italian restaurant right next door to the hotel. The Royal Lahaina Resort was gorgeous. The grounds were beautiful and had a great view of the beach which was walking distance. The staff was very friendly and accomadating. Some of the hotel was under construction at the time but we stayed in a newly remodeled room and it was gorgeous. New flat screen TV and very comfortable feel. We ordered room service which was 'just ok' for dinner and excellent for breakfast, and there was also a restaurant on the grounds. Score 4 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2006-12-20 No review provided by user Score 5 out of 5 Nice ambiance Jana, 2006-11-26 Room was beautiful and well furnished. Everything was immaculate and the staff were very friendly and polite. Did not have an opportunity to eat at the restaurant. Great attention to detail and lots of really nice artwork throughout the building. A terrific value for the money. We were just passing through for one night, so did not have an opportunity to check out the entire facility. Would happily go back again. |
