Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Friendly staff. Clean and beautiful condo. Location great. Anonymous, Sacramento, CA The ResortQuest Mahana at Kannapali was a great place to stay. Condo was beautiful, clean and spacious. The view was wonderful. Would have been nice to have a television in the second bedroom that had the twin beds. Although there is no restaurant available, restaurants and shops, and recreations are within a short drive. Staff was very nice. Housekeeping staff was efficient. Would only ask for one thing that is it would be nice to have complimentary coffee/tea in lobby area for the guests. Score 5 out of 5 Beach Front Mahana Susan There is grocery shopping across the street but it is such a short drive to all sorts of shopping and restaurants that we didn't even go there. It's just a few minutes to Lahaina, where there is tons of stuff going on all the time. The Mahana has got to have the best ocean view in all Maui! It's not like other ocean view places where you just get a glimpse of the ocean from about a mile away! Every room is right on the ocean! We had to shut our lanai door part way at night because the surf was so loud!!! The staff was very friendly and capable. They are condo units but there was still maid service everyday which we enjoyed having. It's location was really close to everything. Since these units are each individually owned, the decor can be different in each one. Depending on your taste, this may or may not be an issue. We did change rooms after one night because the first room had a musty smell like there had been some water damage or something. The front desk immediately changed our room upon request. The next unit was beautiful. It had been updated recently and had a lovely kitchen with granite counters and stainless appliances. The bathroom had also been updated and was lovely as well. We would definitely stay at the Mahana again on our next trip. Score 5 out of 5 Nice Condo as Condo's go George, Texarkana, AR, 2007-02-16 You have to drive to everything as the resort is tucked way back in a large complex. There is a small line shopping complex with a full line grocery store across the street (1/2 mile)The resort quest was a very nice condo, and we were upgraded to a two bedroom two bath corner unit #209 with free wireless internet. Everything was clean and quiet with a great view! The TV was a nice flat screen, but we couldn't get the DVD to play, even though the instructions were handy, (we took DVD'S to watch late at night) Next time I would opt for a resort with a resturant and room service...We had a kitchen but I wasn't into cooking on our honeymoon and also, not sure why, but the resort didn't allow lounge chairs on the beach, they could only be used up on the grass behind a low hedge, while neighboring resorts had lounge chairs all over the beach. The beach was good, but the water was breaking over some offshore coral and the waves were very strong, but just down the beach a couple of hundred yards the waves were more gentle and that's where we spent our time snorkeling. All in all, if you like condo's, cooking your own food, it's a great place. Score 4 out of 5 unbelieveable views Anonymous, San Diego, CA, 2006-11-05 We found some great places to eat close to the hotel, the fish and game co. has earlybird specials that are great.this was our first time to stay at the Mahana, we would recommened it for people who like a quiet hotel stay (not many kids). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The view from our room was absolutly breathtaking everyday. We would stay here again. Score 5 out of 5 Beautiful Oceanfront view Anonymous, Los Angeles, CA, 2006-10-27 The dining was abundant. Great restaurants within a short drive from the hotel. The room was very comfortable. We enjoyed the kitchen and were able to save a few dollars by cooking at home a few times. The location was perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed the oceanview and listening to the waves. It was instantly relaxing from the minute we arrived. Score 5 out of 5 Great location & value don, Seattle, WA, 2006-10-17 Just a short drive to restaurants and shops at Whalers Village and Lahaina. Snorkleing at Honolua beach was about 10 minutes away. The location was right on the beach and adjacent to other resorts allowing us to rent their snorkels and boogie boards. The view of the ocean and sound of the surf was a bonus everytime we looked out or opened the sliding glass door. The barbeque was really handy after the whole island lost power after the earthquake. All in all a great time and we'll be back again in the future. Score 5 out of 5 Beautiful View Michelle, 2006-10-01 Rent a car. Cab fare is very expensive. It is about a 10 minute drive to Lahaina. This is a great place to go at night or even during the day. Great views, restaurants, and shopping. Parking on the street and validation in the lots. This is a great hotel if you want to save a little money. Maui can be very expensive if for dining. This is a great place to stay because it has its own kitchen, washer and dryer, tv and balcony. We went right across the street to the grocery store and bought enough food for our trip. We were within walking distance of all the beaches and it was a great location for coral snorkeling. I would definitely come back again. Score 5 out of 5 Mahana! Raymond, Los Angeles, CA, 2006-09-05 Take advantage of the kitchen and save lots of money! Shop at local market. go to Lahaina early so you can spend hot afternoon "at home".First the staff was excellent from check in to checkout; very knowledgeable of the area and the Island of Maui, friendly and helpful with all requests. The individual unit had every amenity we had hoped for: marble floors, granite counters, A full balcony view of the ocean, jacuzzi tub, complete kitchen with all the cooking stuff we wanted, very comfortable furnishings in the family room, dining room was spacious for our group and the bedrooms were just very comfortable and relaxing with large closets and a largedresser for storage. We especially enjoyed the sound of the surf off the bedroom balcony plus the view of the sunsets in the evening. Very thoughtful touches were having a large selection of books, magazines and games provided by the host. Just across the street is a small shopping strip with a market for grocery shopping, some restraunts and small shops. This proved to be convenient for quick shopping. The drive to Lahaina is very quick and worked well for us. Score 5 out of 5 Great location, well-decorated and comfortable unit Anonymous, Los Angeles, CA, 2006-08-29 The ResortQuest Mahana is located on a lovely, if somewhat rocky stretch of beach on the north end of Ka'anapali. Our condo was very tastefully decorated, well-apppointed and comfortable. All of the Mahana's units afford fabulous ocean-front views. The only drawback of our visit was that, after the second shower, we were unable to turn off the water. The maintenance worker responded promptly, but was unable to fix the problem. The desk staff offered us another unit, but we couldn't bear to leave our existing surroundings and didn't want the inconvenience of moving. Consequently, we were treated to a waterfall in the bathroom to complement the crashing ocean waves. Score 4 out of 5 GOOD HOTEL WITH GREAT VIEW Anonymous, Los Angeles, CA, 2006-07-27 BUY GROCERIES AND BE READY TO COOK.FANTASTIC VIEW OF THE OCEAN, ONLY WISH THERE WAS A SEPARATE ROOM FOR BED BUT OVERALL SATISFIED. STAFF WAS WONDERFUL. ONLY LETDOWN WAS NO ROOM SERVICE. LOCATION FOR POPULAR DINING WAS VERY DESOLATE TOO. |
