Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Hotel Service Was Very Good! Joseph, Buffalo, NY There is shopping in the hotel and also directly across the street. But this hotel's biggest feature is that it sits right on the famous beach Kaanapali. The staff was very friendly and informative. The restaurant "The Beach Club", was excellent however, I wish there was more of a bar for some night life entertainment. I would recommend this hotel for someone who wants luxury at an affordable price. Score 5 out of 5 Beautiful surroundings Joette There are two shops in the hotel and a grocery store and market within walking distance. The Kaanapali Shores Hotel was way more than I expected. I was surprised that not only could i see the ocean, I gazed down upon the most beautiful of gardens and a waterfall. So I feel I received a double bonus! Hotel Staff were all friendly and helpful, maid service was great.. The beach access was steps away and well maintained. The only downside was the quality of the restaurant, so we just ate elsewhere.. I would definitely rate this hotel an A+ and I would recommend it to others and I would stay here again. Score 5 out of 5 Great hotel Anonymous Shopping at Lahaina is only about 10 minutes or so with places to eat. If you are looking for nightlife, ask the locals where to go. Each night is a specific place! The Kaanapali shores was great! not much of a beach out front, but more than most resorts have. Only one restaurant. Lots of near by places to eat though! Score 4 out of 5 So so for the money Marie, Portland, ME, 2007-03-10 Basicly the hotel was fine. They only gave you coffee on the first day. I don't think it would break their bank to provide a packet of coffee each day. Many of the staff were not very friendly and then there were others that were great. The restaurant at the hotel was nice however the waitress we had was kind of a grump. We felt that we were putting her out. She never told us of the specials, one of which I saw I would have tried. Parking was for compact cars and most of the cars there were not. Being on Maui would have been great even if we camped on the beach. The weather was wonderful. The hotel merely a place to stay. Score 5 out of 5 very family friendly Frank, Phoenix, AZ, 2007-03-02 D.J.s Pizza is to die for. It's in Lahana. My big disappointment on the trip was that I only went there once. The location was great in that it was a short walk across the street to a small shopping center with a market to buy food and keep in the kitchen (in the one bedroom accomodation). I understand the single room was not very appealing. You could use the beach which was ok but rocks under water made a trip to better beaches a distance away, especially for kids, worthwhile. They are building more hotels in the immediate area so with only one road and traffic jams now, come next year travel could be a big problem. They do a good job and the people are accomodating so I really have no complaints. Good restaurants, shopping, boat trips were 20 minutes away. I would recommend the one bedroom which has a fully furnished kitchen plenty of closet space and a balcony with room to eat and lounge on. If possible plane day trips before you go, the best times fill up fast. Score 4 out of 5 Very nice and friendly staff Nancy, Seattle, WA, 2007-02-18 nice restaurants and shopping and great beaches nearbyVery good cafe, very nice grounds and pool area. Good location. Score 5 out of 5 Review Randy, Sacramento, CA, 2007-02-10 Store nearbyScore 5 out of 5 Family friendly Mary, 2006-12-09 When staying it is better to try and pick up some groceries and eat in a few of the days as it can get expensive eating out all of your meals. We hit Costco which is located just pass the airport. Our stay was very good. The location of the rooms were adequate but over looked the laundry room and garbage dumpsters. Also, one of the rooms wasn't as clean as it could have been. In all the rooms were good but could have been a little better. Overlooking these two things everyone was very friendly and helpful. |
