walk to little mall across the way. Roys resturant very good. Parking hard at night.

Clean, Comfortable, Nothing Special

Roy's is a little overpriced, and the food was average. If you have a car, you'll enjoy dining at the Beach House in Poipu.

The Sheraton Kauai was a comfortable hotel on a great island paradise. We stayed in one of the garden rooms and it was nothing special with no view at all. If you have to means to get the deluxe ocean view, it's almost necessary. The hotel was very clean and the overall amenities were great. Once there, the $25 daily optional Breakfast Buffet and Mai Tai Hour upcharge was not optional and were charged no matter what. The breakfast was nice and service was good, but the Mai Tai hour had a great show, with mediocre Mai Tai's. But what do you expect for free drinks? Poipu Marketplace is nearby and has decent restaurants and typical tourist shops. The beach by the restaurants was only rocks, and the beach to lay out on was nice but small. The cabanas were fair, but nothing spectacular.
