The room was clean, the pool facilities were clean and the ammenities were efficient. Anytime I had a question the staff had an answer and were quick to assist at any time. We had a wonderful time and would do it again! Score 3 out of 5 Soap scum everywhere, rooms not clean Anonymous, Los Angeles, CA, 2007-02-05 Sansei is the best Japanese restaurantEach condo is individually owed and differ from each other drastically. The last one has soap scum in both showers and felt dirty Score 4 out of 5 Wonderful Maui Condo Linney, Los Angeles, CA, 2006-12-19 The best breakfast on the island was Kihei Cafe. Try the papaya with yogurt and granola. What awonderful breakfast. Come hungry, they give more than enough food! What a wonderful first visit to Maui. Castle Kamaole Sands Condo's were great. The entire staff and facilities were top notch. Provided both ocean and garden views to meet any travelers wants. Several restraunts and beaches were well within walking distance from the property. Big living area, cable TV, Cable INternet modem (FREE) The only downfall is the hard matress for the master bedroom. Other than that, outstanding accomodations. Score 5 out of 5 My review of Castle Kamaole Sands Condominium Resort Cheryl, Houston, TX, 2006-11-28 Eating establishments are very nearOverall the stay at the hotel was delightful, we plan on returning next year. Because of the beach atmosphere, the seating accomodations were not altogether that comfortable, nothing to recline in... The location was very nice and close to stores, shops, beach and dining. Eating in of course what one thing we planned to do, and the accomodations in the condo allowed us to cook our meals. Score 5 out of 5 Review Anonymous, Los Angeles, CA, 2006-11-18 A short walk and you will have resaurants with great food and service.Score 5 out of 5 Very Family friendly & great for couples too jennifer, 2006-10-24 The beach is across the street and in the early morning it was excellent for snorkeling. There are showers a playground and showers. There is a large lawn area so that you could play catch or frisbee. The best am food value was the early bird special at Freds. For 1.99 you get two eggs, bacon, potatoes or toast and fruit. Can't beat that. The Kamaole Sands was in a great location. It was on the south end of the Island across the street from the beach. The room was clean and had additional touches such as the book Maui for Dummies. I enjoyed the pool. There are several excellent places to eat within walking distance. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone. Score 4 out of 5 great view allen, Edmonton, AB, 2006-10-09 stop at costco just outside the airport for snacks and meat and fruit some of the local food stores are outragious safeway is on the walea highway 3 or 4 miles away there are many outdoor markets that were very good for souveniersWe arived very late but were greeted with smiles and the check in was very fast. The room was very hot when we arived but the air conditioner did turn on but somewhat noisy fan,it cooled the livingroom and kitchen, but did not cool the bedroom at all,but the view from the balcony was breathtaking . When we went for a shower after our 23 hour trip there were only two very small face towels ,no bath towels,no wash clothes,no shampoo ,as luck would have it wehad stopped at kmart by the airport and picked up some souvenier beach towels and head and shoulders shampoo so we used them, the next day we toured maui and inthe evening we still did not have towels so we walked to the office and asked if we get towels and hey said "yes"and went in the back of the office and got some, the next day the cleaning staff did not change towels so we complained again and the next day we had a bundle of towels at the door waiting for us,only had shampoo 3 of the 8 days there . On the second day we tried to bake a frozen pizza in the oven, but only the top broiler would work, burned top, doughey bottom, not a very good supper, the burners would not work either so no tea or eggs for breakfast so we had to eat out except for snacks and drinks, the ice maker in the fridge worked very well. We ate out a lot. The pool was great, and the grounds were very well kept and beautiful, and we woke up to beautiful sunrises and the birds singing was a very nice begining to the day. All in all we had a great time and toured, snorkeled with the giant green turtles, Absolutely a life changing experience, drove up on the volcano, went on a submarine and went to a great luau 5 minutes away in Walea . I would return to this hotel but i would check every thing out and phone at any time to get it fixed rather than wait for the cleaning staff to do the right thing . Score 4 out of 5 Nice quiet place Anonymous, Los Angeles, CA, 2006-10-07 Aloha MarketCastle Kamaole Sands Condo was a nice location. The condo was nicely set up, but there was no air conditioning. There was a small room sized air conditioner, but it did not cool off the upper loft area where we slept. It was very, very hot in our room. The bathroom floors were dirty and had hair from previous occupants in the corners. The kitchen was well eguipped but we had ants allover the counters. The furniture was not very comfortable, especially the mattress. BUT, we did like the place overall, and would stay maybe a week but with the air conditioning on all day. Score 5 out of 5 Very well stocked Anonymous, Austin, TX, 2006-10-02 Dennys, Greek restaurant, Mexican restaurant, and Thai restarant very close. The Dennys was really nice (for a Dennys), but the service was slow. May have been bad luck. The Greek restaurant was a little pricy. Our room was very big and fully stocked with everything you would need to stay for an extended period. We had 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen with everything you could want, living area, dining area, 2 TVs and a nice patio with furniture. The living room sofa also turned into a sleeper. It was much more than I expected. My only complaint was that the main bed was uncomfortable, but otherwise it was great. THere was also a lot of dining and recreation that you could walk to. Score 5 out of 5 All you need Ursula, San Francisco, CA, 2006-09-22 Beaches for swimming and surfing within short driving distance. The rooms are very good equipped and are spacious. It was nice to have two bathrooms. The hotel is located close the beach which also is very nice. Sometimes it was a bit noisy during the night when people came home. It had good options for dining within 5 - 10 Min. driving distance. |
