I found the location ideal as far as making trips to all parts of the island. This is a beautiful hotel and I can not imagine a better experience overall. Score 4 out of 5 This was paradise Anonymous, Jacksonville, FL, 2006-09-18 The Waimea canyon is a short drive and it is very beautiful to seeThe hotel grounds, pool, lagoon are outstanding. The room was comfortable, although it was difficult to adjust the temperature. The cleaning was only adequate for such an expensive hotel - it was not dirty by any means but not spotless either. Even at the hotel was very pleasant and helpful- it is very expensive to eat there though and there are not a lot of options on the weekend in the evening. Overall it was just such a beautiful location and the outside pool and grounds are breathtaking- I would definitely go back. Great dining with great sunsets! My experience at the Grand Hyatt in Kauai was outstanding! The facility is amazing, one of the most beautiful hotels I have stayed at and I plan to go back. The spa was first class! Score 5 out of 5 One of the best beach resorts Anonymous, New York, NY, 2005-12-25 Rent a car -- preferably a convertible -- and be sure to check out the canyons (and waterfalls and beaches) in both directions. This is one of the best beach resorts I have stayed at. The rooms, facilities, grounds, and staff are all excellent. The grounds are sufficiently expansive that you can find lots of private space even when the hotel is full. The spa is wonderful. Score 5 out of 5 Worth every dollar for stay in Kauai John, 2005-11-11 try snorkling and body-boarding on the beach and reef on the resort property. No need to go any farther. The Grand Hyatt Kauai is breathtaking from the start as you enter the main entry with a breathtaking view of the ocean and beach. The staff are very welcoming, the grounds immaculately maintained, and the room comfortable and comfortable. The resort is so well thought out and maintained with impeccable staff friendliness that we were torn between enjoying the sights of Kauai or just soaking in the luxury at the resort. We stayed at the "lowest" level room, but the room was luxurious with beautiful view and acess to the garden. Can't go wrong with this resort. Also, no need to spend the extra dollars for the higher rate rooms - even the lowest rate room exceeds the standards of many many other hotels. Score 5 out of 5 Definitely worth it Justin, Los Angeles, CA, 2005-11-09 Tomkat Grill in Koloa village... a great little quality hole-in-the-wall place for drinks or breakfast (or both simultaneously). Delicious fried rice! The hotel was costly but worth it if you are looking for a well oiled resort experience. The rooms were top notch and had very comfortable beds. We were upgraded to a full ocean view with a walk out lanai that led to the grounds on an upper terrace. We probably spent half our time in the room on the lanai just soaking in the amazing atmosphere. The hotel pools and grounds were superlative. The hotel dining was pretty good. The hotel staff was absolutely polite, attentive and accomodating. They were so attuned to their guests that if you had camera in hand and a pleading look on your face they would come over and offer to take your picture. All and all I would rate the Grand Hyatt as a first rate 5 star resort. Our only problem was that we were out-and-about so much that we didn't have enough time to truly relax and enjoy the hotels amazing grounds! Score 5 out of 5 Wonderful Experience Jerry, Sacramento, CA, 2005-10-29 Many sigts and attractions are within half hour drive.Great view, staff very friendly, wonderful experience, first rate! Score 5 out of 5 Best of the Best Kevin, Orange County, CA, 2005-07-25 You can not beat this resort, it is truley the Best of the Best in all aspects you can imagine. There is nothing at this hotel that would rate lower than an "11". It is truley the best resort that we have been to worldwide. |
