Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Great Studio Room Margaret, Providence, RI, 2006-10-31 Waterfront shopping area is located on the same street as this hotel, about 2 miles north. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping areas to choose from. The hotel is located on the coast but you can not swim in front of the hotel. There is a salt water pool on location. Nearest swimable beach is about 1.5 miles away.Check in was smooth & easy. Location in Kona was great, right on the beach. There were two pools which were crystal clear. Housekeeping came daily to provide new towels and clean kitchen area. The room was perfect for one or two people and included a washer and dryer. The bath area was very large. It included a smaller room area which contained the shower and tiolet. The outside bathroom area had a sink, large close for hanging clothes, a room safe, and a washer and dryer. The kitchen set up was fantastic. There was a full size refrigerator, stove/oven, and dishwasher. The room was equipped with everything - dishes, bowls, pans, can opener, etc. Plenty of room to store your personal belongings. The only thing missing was a VCR/DVD player....but who needs that when your in Hawaii!! Score 4 out of 5 great location great view of sunset , very family friendly I LOVE KONA steven, Sacramento, CA, 2006-04-20 great snorkling very closeroom was great bed a little soft great kitchen with a great view. very good location Score 4 out of 5 Nice Place to Visit Anonymous, 2006-04-18 Couple of beaches a short drive south of the hotel. The one with snorkelling rental gear has daily visits by turles. My stay at the Outrigger Royal Sea Cliff was acceptable with a few notations.Construction and ground maintenance were underway the entire time I was there. Because we were on the top floor, we were awake before 8:00 AM every morning due to the construction (banging on the roof) or the chainsaw cutting down dead trees. The construction left a mess of rock and seeds on our master bedroom deck which did not get cleaned up. When I approached the front desk about the noise upon depature, I was met with the following comment "Oh, the construction, hopefully it wasn't every morning"! Score 5 out of 5 Satisfied Anonymous, 2005-11-28 There is plenty of shopping in Kona Town. It's just a short walk. There is also a open market on the weekends. YOu can buy local crafts, fruits, vegetables, and fresh cut native flowers. The Outrigger Royal Sea Cliff was comfortable. I felt there should have been a CD and DVD player in the room. Other than that the accomodations was very comfortable and clean with most of the comforts of home. I like having a breakfast nook. There was one coffee filter, but you could buy more at the front desk. I feel should have been provided for free. The hotel was located in heart of Kona town (mini Waikiki). There was alot of restaurants and shopping within walking distance from the hotel which made it convenient. I would recommend the Outrigger Sea Cliff to others. |
