Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 home away from home Anonymous beautiful halekulani hotel is right next door!great hotel facility and great customer service, very responsive Score 5 out of 5 Most Outgoing Staff I have met Julio, London DeRussy Park is about a block a way; good for viewing the wahines and surfers along the beach and for jogging. The Waikiki Parc Hotel is a conveniently located hotel toward the northend of Waikiki Beach. It is within walking distance of shopping and eating. The room was very clean and well kept. Upon our return our room was always clean and ready. The view was less than perfect; the mountain view side of the hotel allows only mountains of concrete due to the number of mult-stories hotels which surround it. The better views are above the 20 floor. The bathroom was nice and amply sized for someone as large as I. We were within 10 to 15 minutes of the Honolulu Zoo and Diamond Head to the south and about the same walking time to downtown Honolulu. the beach was about 1 1/2 minutes away. Other sites were more easily reached by car. If you can get the parking included, it will save you about $20.00 per day and the valets will have your car ready by calling the telephone number provided. The staff were very outgoing and assisted in every way possible. I forgot an essential item necessary for travel when we checked out and they took the time to find it and send it to me on the mainland within 3 days of my leaving. Score 5 out of 5 Great location! Cindy, 2007-02-28 Lots of shopping and dining options are within walking distance, as is the beach. There is an ABC store literally on every corner so make sure you go there to stock your refrigerator as we did.Our stay at the Waikiki Parc was very pleasant. We were in town for a convention at the Sheraton but did not want to pay the price of their rooms. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the Parc was located directly behind the Sheraton so it was very convenient for us. The service was great - we asked for different pillows and they were delivered immediately despite the fact that we checked in after 11:00 p.m. The room was very clean, the king size bed very comfy. We had a mountain view so we only had a very small balcony - about a foot wide - you could walk out but there was no room for a chair. We liked the sleek boutique modern look of the room with the quaint white shutters over the windows. The only part that was a bit distressing was the elevators. You had to swipe your room key to get to your floor, it was great for security purposes but half the time the cards did not work. Overall, a very pleasant stay! Score 5 out of 5 very family friendly Anonymous, Lexington, KY, 2007-02-26 walk out the front door and u are about 1 minute away from beach, walk out back door and its a 2 minute walk to shopping centers and restaurants. The room was comfy, very close to all the shopping centers and beach. Don't miss this shop! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Location of the Hotel was in a very busy shopping area with a lot of trucks doing deliverys. Due to this it is a very noisy area and we could hear this day and night from our room. The room itself was comfortable. From the hotel it was only a half a block walk to the beach, which was nice. There was a lot of shopping and restaurants in the area which was nice. Score 4 out of 5 Location, location, location August, San Francisco, CA, 2006-12-19 There is an abundant amount of shopping and food options available just steps away from this property as well as the famous Waikiki beach. The Waikiki Parc offers very good value for an excellently located property in Honolulu. From the moment you pull up to the free valet parking, you're greeted quickly and warmly, directed to the desk while your bags are attended to. The front desk and the concierge are very friendly and professional. No question goes unanswered. Our room was well appointed and quiet with a filtered view of the ocean since we were located across a small street behind other properties. The furnishings were modern and comfortable. The fitness facility was sufficient to meet today's standards along with a beautiful swimming pool on the eighth floor. There were, however, two untimely flaws in this property. One, construction nearby was abundant, ongoing and somewhat rest disturbing. Second, the only food on the property was at a mezzanine breakfast buffet, which was well done, but left something lacking in the our stay. Nevertheless, with the property being well located, more than adequate eating options were available with a very short walk. WE would stay here again when construction is no longer part of the environment. Score 3 out of 5 Construction Site Anonymous, Hilo, HI, 2006-11-15 The hotel is simply very expensive for a small room and it is in the middle of a construction site. There is also a renovation going on in the building. The parking reserves a lot of spots for the valet parking so you have to drive 5 floors up until you can find a parking spot. Score 5 out of 5 under construction, staff very friendly Anonymous, 2006-11-11 less expensive than staying right on the beach but still access to everything.Hotel is under construction so take with a grain of salt - will have dining at some point, currently none. otherwise very close to beach, other amenities dining shopping but not as expensive as beach front. staff excellent friendly helpful. Score 2 out of 5 Review Vaughan, Chicago, IL, 2006-11-09 Parc is located on Kala Kala road which is where everything else is located, you are literally in the middle of Waikiki, nothing is far. That being said, so are about 30 other hotels on the same strip. The staff at the Waikiki Parc was nothing short of excellent. There is absolutely NO restaurant on premise. They say there is but "Nobu" is "coming soon" in 2007 sometime. There is not a bar anywhere on site. There is not a cafe. There is no room service, instead they have an outside agency bring in food from other hotels and restauraunts for an additional fee (understandable) and a long wait. There is a less than average breakfast which they advertise on the room TV as "complimentary" then ask you to pay $15 for when you get to the 8th floor. Their workout room consists of 4 peices of cardio equipment, 2 treadmills that they have regulated to NOT go over 6.5 if your a runner, an eliptical and a bike without pedal straps making it unfunctional. The room is NO larger than 10x8. The lobby is literally empty. It's almost bare. Their rooms are clean and the staff is very courteous, those are the only positive things I have to say about this hotel. |
