I think very shortly it will resemble Rodeo Drive in LA.The Sheriton Waikiki was a disapointment. We had nothing but trouble with the internet connection which was very slow and kept dropping out (a hard wired connection - not a wireless). In attempting to workout the problems with the internet I found a tangle of wires underneath the bed which included a router, a surge protector, phone and power cords - all bunched up in a very questionable manner. The staff was great but the bathroom was in disrepair, the hallways were dirty and the atmosphere was not what we had hoped. Score 4 out of 5 Beautiful view, staff very welcoming and friendly Anonymous, Orange County, CA, 2006-10-28 We loved dining at the hotels on either side of the Sheraton especially the one that was not the Royal Hawaiian. I don't know how to spell the name of it. The Royal Hawaiian was great too. We had massages there at their spa also. The view we had from our room was amazing. WE had some problems with the bathroom and the shower. The floor flooded when we would shower no matter how careful we were with the shower curtain. I liked having a safe in the room and the refrigerator. The rooms could be updated as far as their linens and decor but it was clean. Score 4 out of 5 Comfortable but Pricey Sandra, 2006-10-15 We enjoyed the nightclub located in the hotel. The music was good and the band was excellent, very versatile. The drinks were pretty good as well.We really didn't stay at the Sheraton Waikiki very long. It was a much better hotel than the one we were staying at before the cruise. It was comfortable, but I was expecting a lot more than we received for the price. We felt that it was overpriced. The shower squeaked, the towels were not the softest, the carpet needed upgrading, and although we were there during the earthquake, we still had to pay for lunch, with no discount on the hotel stay at all. I felt that was not really customer friendly. We extended our checkout until 6 PM because we had a late flight, and that was not even discounted. On the other hand the atmosphere surrounding the hotel was lively, and the beachfront was spectacular, but then again we were in HAWAII! They have a coffee kiosk outside the lobby. 2. They have a buffet dining facility, with good food but somehow expensive. 3. Shopping area is walking distance from the hotel. The Sheraton Waikiki Hotel is the best hotel we've ever stayed! It is very clean, with nice & upscale furnitures, very well maintained and is a comfortable place to stay away from home. They also have good foods in the dining areas, and the staffs are friendly. Score 2 out of 5 My review of Sheraton Waikiki Linda, San Francisco, CA, 2005-10-28 I am a diabetic so I need a refridgerator in the room for my insulin..when we arrived I asked if there was a refergerator in the room, I was surprised when I was told no. All other hotels we had stayed in Hawaii had a refer in the room. When I told them I needed it for medication they told me one would be delivered by housekeeping and there would not be a charge. We checked in about 12:00-I called twice in the next few hours to ask where the refridgerator was...It was not delivered until 4:30 that afternoon, my insulin was unrefridged until then..My insulin quit working, the next day my blood sugars were extremely high. I called and spoke to the manager asking if they could provide a taxi so I could go to Longs and pick up a new bottle of insulin, he was very rude, but gave us a voucher for a taxi... We will never stay at the Sheridan Waikiki again..Oh also the tile on the bathroom floor was filthy, a 4 inch yellow stain under the sink, and the grout plus the bathtub floor was black... Score 5 out of 5 My review of Sheraton Waikiki Toshio, Honolulu, HI, 2005-06-26 My son returned to Hawaii to visit me. I put him up at the Sheraton Waikiki so he would have more privacy and proximity to Waikiki. He was overjoyed and told me that now he understands why the Sheraton and Hawaii are No. 1 destination spots! Score 4 out of 5 Review Anonymous, Atlanta, GA, 2005-06-22 No review provided by user |
