Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Great for a budget! Melissa The beaches and sights are amazing make sure you try to go for a scenic drive and see the different parts of the island! It's beautiful everywhere you look and not expensive!Waikiki Sunset is perfect for people that want to experience Hawaii...but not the huge expense! We had a group of four college students...and were trying to be tight but still enjoy our time. We had our own full kitchen to make breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This saved us a lot of money in going out! It also had a great location, so when we wanted to go out it was very close to the strip and the beach. Needless to say...the trip was wonderfully enjoyable and the staff there was extremely nice! Score 5 out of 5 Sweet deal on a suite Anonymous, San Francisco, CA, 2007-02-21 Sansei Restaurant in the Waikiki Marriott is not to be missed. Japanese-Hawaiian fusion using the freshest ingredients, with balanced flavors, a beautiful presentation and refreshingly unique and original (and award-winning!) combinations made this the best meal we had in Waikiki. The room was very comfortable for 3 adults. Even with the sofabed pulled out, there was enough room for lounging and eating. Though sparsely decorated, the accomodations were more than adequate. The kitchen was well furnished and there was both a mini-mart onsite and an ABC store a half-block away. The location was off the beach by two blocks, so it was quiet, yet close enough to all attractions. The mountain view from the 28th floor was spectacular. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had to check out long before our flight home, but they kept our luggage and we were able to use the 6th floor lounge to relax, shower and wait in comfort. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any visitor. Score 5 out of 5 Great value for the price!!! Jessica, Albuquerque, NM, 2007-02-16 We didn't spend much time at the hotel but the time we did spend there was great!!! The room was clean and the couch bed was comfortable. The room fit 4 comfortably. The view of the mountains was beautiful!!! I wish I would've had more time so I could've tried out the pool. Maybe next time. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others!!! Score 5 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2007-02-07 This hotel is just off the beach. There is all kinds of shopping and dining as well as activities. Something for everyones budgets.Score 5 out of 5 Great for families Corey, 2006-12-28 For dining, Tiki's was just over a block away and offered great food. Or if you are looking for fast food, Burger King is less than a 10 minute walk. The location was fantastic. Just 2 blocks from the beach, 5 minutes to the zoo, and shopping all around. The room included a full kitchen, a Queen pullout sofabed, and a double and single bed in the separate bedroom. As for view, from our lanai we could see Diamond Head, and from the bedroom we could see the ocean. The staff were very friendly, and housekeeping was great. We will not hesitate to stay at the Waikiki Sunset on our next visit. Score 4 out of 5 The staff were great! Mark, Los Angeles, CA, 2006-11-08 The Polynisean Cultural Center (PCC)is expensive but is not to be missed. A long drive but very rlazxing and beautiful. The staff at the hotel were very fast and efficient in their service. Cudos to them! On the other hand, there was no restaurant in the hotel. It was three blocks from the ocean and being in a wheel chair it was rather difficult to manage. There was also no hot tub, which I really could have used. The room did have a full kitchen that we used to prepare some of the dinners and lunches, off setting the rather high costs of ezting out. The sigts and attractions of Oahu were spectacular and we really enjoyed our visit to the Island. Score 4 out of 5 Great if you're on a budget Micah, Los Angeles, CA, 2006-11-08 There is shopping, dining, beach and nightlife within a two block radius. We had a great fine dining eveing at Hy's Steakhouse just 4 blocks away. Just don't forget to wear a collared shirt gentlemen!ResortQuest Waikiki Sunset (formerly Aston Waikiki Sunset) is fine if you're on a budget. It wasn't awful but it wasn't wonderful either. The staff was VERY nice and helpful, but the rooms were very 'old school' and not updated at all. The bathroom products are fine and the housekeeping service is attentive. There is no wireless internet unless you're in the Computer Lounge, so you can only work on your computer in one place in your room via an ethernet cord. The location is close to EVERYTHING and again the staff would reccomend where to go and where not to go and how to get there adn when the best time to go is. If you are a hotel snob, you will not be happy here. If you're not in your hotel a lot while you travel but want a roomy place to hang out when you are: This is the place for you. Score 4 out of 5 Family Friendly Anonymous, Cincinnati, OH, 2006-10-02 A few blocks awawy was a ton of small shops and restaurants. The Oceanarium was very close with a 3 story aquarium in the restaurant. The Wakiki Sunset was a nice place to stay for the money. I enjoyed the kitchen in the room, which was one of my main attractions. It was a 1 1/2 blocks from the ocean which made it fairly convenient. It was also close to alot of attractions. Score 5 out of 5 Floor to Ceiling Windows Donna, Durham/Raleigh, NC, 2006-09-17 If you are considering renting a car, check out the locals. Our stay at the Resort Quest Wakiki Sunset was very pleasant. We especially enjoyed the floor to ceiling windows in the living and bedroom areas, the overall space within the unit, and of course the balcony. The kitchen was nicely equipped and we were pleased to see an icemaker in the refrigerator. The location was convenient to restaurants and shopping, and approximately 2 blocks from the beach. There was never a problem finding a parking space (although the spaces were tight). There is a convenient store within the building and laundry facilities on each floor. Although the Resort Quest Wakiki Sunset is not one of the newest facilities on the beach, we thought it was a great value and would not hesitate to stay there again. Score 5 out of 5 good deal . JACQUES, Papeete, 2006-09-16 very pleasant to walk the night , go dinning at the center of waikiki and go back by walking to the hotel.this hotel was very nice , the room with the full kitchen are very spacious , and location very quiet, just 5 -10 minutes walking to the center of waikiki . i will return for next travel.. |
