You want to Stay at Resort Quest Wakiki Beach

Angela, Greenville, SC, 2007-03-10

On the main strip there are several places to eat ranging from Cold Ice Cream, Burger King, McDonalds, Sushi, to Cheeseburger In Paradise

The Resort Quest Wakiki Beach Hotel was a very good value for our money. We had booked a partial ocean view room and upon arrival we were upgraded to an ocean view room. The room had a balcony, although small, it serves its purpose. Beautiful View. The beds and fluffy pillows were just heaven to lay upon after a long day of enjoying the Hawaiian culture. The front desk, bell services, and valet employees were all friendly and as helpful as they could be. The parking at the hotel is valet only and they charge you $20 each day no matter if you request the car or not. Every time we requested the car it was always ready for us within 10 minutes. One of the neatest features of this hotel is the Breakfast On The Beach - you have two insulated bags in the room that you are able to carry downstairs with you for breakfast. After showing your room key you are allowed to fill the bags with as much as you want for breakfast from the buffet tables. You then are allowed to eat breakfast there at poolside, walk across the road and have breakfast on the beach, or take the food back to your room to enjoy. We always took a little extra for a mid day snack. One thing I found smart about the hotel has to do with the air conditioning. If the balcony door or the room door is open the air conditioner will automatically cut off - so be sure you keep your doors closed to stay cool. We often enjoyed lunch at Wolfgang Pucks on street level. Very reasonable prices and the food was tasty. We ate at Tiki's one night. The cost is a bit pricey, but the food was very good. The activity buses stop right on the curb at the hotel so it's very convenient. Another thing we enjoyed was riding the trolley. The trolley stop is right at the hotel on curbside. We enjoyed our stay and plan to use this hotel upon our next visit.

Comfortable and friendly

ResortQuest Waikiki Beach Hotel was very nice. The hotel was within walking distance of the fabulous shopping on Waikiki including the International Market Place and of course numerous restaurants, car/scooter rental agencies, etc. I found concierge very helpful and very willing to hook up guests with activities, events, and services.

Best Location in Waikiki

rosalie, Portland, OR, 2007-02-22

Rodeo Drive style designer shops as well as local artist galleries all within short walking distance. The local open buses will take you anywhere while you enjoy the tripical breezes, what a vacation!

What could be better than taking breakfast to the beach? A local cooler bag is in each room for pick up breakfast items by the pool each day. Due to its location, right across from main beach in Waikiki, the Resort Quest Waikiki Beach Hotel really makes you a part of Hawaii. Gorgeous sunset watching each night is greeted with polynesian Tiki torch bearers, conch shell blowing to end the sunset, local musicians on the open terrace, ahhh, I just want to go back ... soon!

partial ocean view?

Richard, 2007-02-11

We were very disappointed with the "partial ocean view". While we knew we would not be directly facing the ocean, we expected to view at least some of it from our room. The only way to view it was to step out onto a narrow balcony (standing room only), and then only a sliver of the ocean could be seen. When inside our room, only the side of another building was visible. The room was over priced for what we got.

Nice Hotel

Heather, San Jose, CA, 2007-02-09

The ResortQuest Waikiki was a great place to stay. The bed was very comfortable and had a down comforter. My husband loved the large flat screen TV. We were traveling with our 19 month old daughter and even had enough room for her pack in play. The buffet breakfast was included with our room, but not very good food, especially the hot items. We mostly stayed with coffee, juice, fruit and cereal. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Very close to shopping and the beach. Located just in front of the ocean breaking wall which created a great place for our daughter to play in the sand and water.

fun, colourful hotel with great location

Anonymous, 2007-02-06

instead of walking toward the main drag with all it's hustle and bustle, go in the opposite direction towards diamond head and the calm end of waikiki. you will find beautiful little parks, quiet secluded beaches, a gorgeous war memorial and the aquarium that is small but wonderful and very inexpensive.

this hotel was really great. the rooms were a bit small but cozy and decorated well. the balcony was also small but had an amazing view of waikiki beach. the location was one of the best parts. it was close to diamond head, the aquarium, tons of shopping, the zoo, restaurants, and right across the street from the beach. the included breakfast was a plus too. it had quite a few options and lots of healthy snacks to take for later in the day. all of the staff were very helpful and made our visit memorable. would definitely stay again!

Very Family Friendly

Lynn, Minneapolis, MN, 2007-02-05

Across the street from the beach and short walk to the International Market Square

Clean hotel and family friendly. The staff is extremely helpful. The rooms have been updated with flat screen tv's and new bedding. The location is perfect. It is across the street from the beach and swim area.
