Most recent user reviewsScore 3 out of 5 Great location but lots of street noise Anonymous, Portland, OR Best beach location. Hotel is derectly across from the international market. Great Dinning in Dukes. Casual atmosphere. Great shopping close by.We had a fairly pleasent stay with 2 exceptions. One complaint was the room arrangement. The bed was situated right under the room air conditioner. The cold breeze blew across the bed all night long. If you turned off the fan the room would get to hot and muggy. The room was large enough to place the bed on the other end of the room. Only problem would be that you are closser to the street noise. which leads me to the second problem. Street noise and bongo noise untill 10pm. When you come from Oregon thats like 12pm. Otherwise we enjoyed the staff and accomadations other than no health club and a very small pool for the size of the hotel.GREAT BEACH Score 5 out of 5 Great Location Maureen, Albany, NY The Rodeo drive is now in Waikiki ! Everything is right outside your door. The international Market is just across the street.Any tours can be arranged in the hotel and pickup right outside your door.Location, location, location! The Outrigger on the Beach is a great location. You are right on the beach and a great accomendating staff. Rooms were nice size .The only down fall was that the pool area is very small and crowded. Would definatly go back. Score 5 out of 5 A Taste of Old Hawai'i SUSIE, Los Angeles, CA, 2007-03-12 The International Marketplace is just across the street. The Outrigger was fantastic. The hotel lobby is exquisite with Hawai'ian decor throughout. We had a city view room but could see the ocean from the lanai. Every staff member of the hotel was very helpful and professional. The room was decorated in a total Hawai'ian theme down to the hula girl lamp. With two closets, divided bathroom and sitting area with couch, it felt like a suite. The weight room was superb. the restaurant excellent, and the shops super! Score 5 out of 5 Best Beach Hotel michelle, Manchester, NH, 2007-03-02 Phenominal shopping minutes away! Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Prada. If that is not your taste, the Marketplace, directly across the street, is a hagglers paradise full of local jewelry, clothing, etc.We specifically chose the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach as, after researching other hotels, this one seemed the best. We were not disappointed! It was by far the nicest hotel on the beach. We could walk out the hotel right onto the beach. It was absolutely beautiful! The beach was exceptionally clean; umbrellas and chairs were available for a nominal fee. Additionally, we could sit in any of the three hotel restraunts and have a beautiful view of the beach; the sunsets were incredible! Score 5 out of 5 I won't even consider another hotel in Waikiki Anonymous, Portland, OR, 2007-02-19 This was a gracious, comfortable hotel, located on the best stretch of beach in Waikiki. Score 5 out of 5 Very Helpful Jeanette, Sacramento, CA, 2007-02-03 The International Market Place shopping area is right across the street as well as the famous ABC Store where you can find anything you can imagine!Upon our arrival check in was very quick and easy. The room was everything we expected and the bellman set up our bags and explained all the features in the room. The restaurants in the hotel are excellent. The only problem we had on our trip was our noisey neighbors but a call to the front desk took care of this issue quickly. Score 5 out of 5 Perfect Location Adrian, San Jose, CA, 2006-12-20 International Market directly across street. If you forget your dress clothes, their is a Macy's a block down. The Outrigger Waikiki was only seconds away from great shopping, dinning and the beach. It is the best location in Waikiki. Dukes and Hula grill are great restaraunts, and also Chucks was a great place to eat. The beach is only steps from the pool, we enjoyed the canoe ride. The International Market is right across the street and other shops within short waking distance. We had an Ocean Front room. It was comfortable and beautful view. We had morning and turn down service daily. We would stay here again and might in July 2007 with our children this time.
