Open air bar with entertainment and beautiful sunsets. Dinner reasonable 12.95- 20.00 and fun. Cook your own entre on a large open air grill. The Ohana Islander Waikki was a great value for the money. Although under renovations at the time of our stay it was clean and quite. We were allowed to use the pool at the Outrigger Reef which was on the Ocean and a step up from the Ohana. The Ohana was only one block from the Ocean to the South and the street north of the hotel was active and full of upscale shopping and nice restrants. The rennovations include the area surrounding the hotel. It is called Beach Walk. There are walkways with lanon stone pavers, green grass, Tiki's line the street. Book soon- when this rennovation is complete I'm afraid the hotels in this area may become less affordable. Score 5 out of 5 My review of OHANA Islander Waikiki Kenneth, Dayton, OH, 2006-08-09 Great shopping across the street, down the street, and around every corner! You could walk for hours and never get bored!!!The Ohana Islander was a great hotel. The staff was very helpfull, they even called us by our name as we would walk by day to day! The room was of good size and very clean. They also had a fitness room that I used. The location of the hotel was great too, right in the middle of all the shopping and great for the night life! The cleaning staff was also very helpful as we asked for more towels and received a bunch! The would clean our room everyday so it was like we just checked in! Score 2 out of 5 Disappointed Traveler Anonymous, 2006-07-05 There are many shops in walking distance. The Ohana Islander was for the most part okay. I was very disatisfied when I got there and there was construction going on at the hotel and all around it. To walk to the beach you had to weave in and out of construction sites. A lot of the good places to eat that I remembered from a previous trip were no longer there due to all the construction. The staff there were all very pleasant. Score 5 out of 5 Review Gerald, 2006-06-05 A variety of shopping opotion are available within a short walkScore 3 out of 5 Good Location. Hotel not great. bill, Seattle, WA, 2006-02-27 Room was OK. The bed wasn't comfortable. Lobby ver inconvient to get bags to from street. Bell staff were well hidden. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I was however displeased with all of the building construction and renovation that was going on next door and along Lewers street. It was unsightly to say the least. The hotel location was very convenient to major shopping outlets, sidewalk entertainment, and of course to the BEACH! Score 4 out of 5 LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Mary, Little Rock, AR, 2005-04-18 This hotel was within walking distance of the beach and close to all the great shops! |
