The OHANA East is a 441-room hotel located in the heart of Waikiki. It's just a short stroll to Waikiki beach, with the International Market Place and Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center nearby. Beginning December 22, 2006 guests staying at Ohana East can take advantage of the Ohana Waikiki Connection, which includes Complimentary Internet Access,Complimentary local and long distance phone calls to US and Canada,Complimentary in-room coffee and daily local newspaper, and complimentary rides on the Waikiki Trolley's Pink Line throughout Waikiki. The hotel features three restaurants, a coffee bar, pool, whirlpool spa, Laundromat, meeting rooms and a self-service business center. There's ample parking andconvenient access to the city's bus system, making the OHANA East a great value, perfect for business travelers, families, seniors and small groups.Beginning Jan 1 2007, parking rates will be $25 per day. Just a few minutes walk from the hotel takes you to Waikiki Beach or shopping on Kalakaua Avenue. A few more minutes and you're at Kapiolani Park, the Waikiki Zoo, the Waikiki Aquarium, or watching the surf from the lookout at the foot of world famous Diamond Head. At the Ohana East, you'll have everything you need to enjoy a vacation in Waikiki. Effective November 16, 2006, this will be a completely non-smoking property.
Most recent user reviewsScore 1 out of 5 huge disappointment Anonymous the OHANA EAST in Honolulu was gravely disappointing. cleanliness was not a priority and the stench in our room was nauseating. the carpeting and furniture were stained. the walls were dirty. the bathroom was incredibly tiny. street noise was very loud even on the 10th floor. guests are charged $18 per night to park in their parking garage and there is nowhere else to park. We had a small refrigerator, supplies to make tea or coffee every morning, hair dryer, an iron and ironing board, two closets and a great view from our balcony! The location was great - the beach was 5 minutes away as well as restaurants, shopping centers, markets and bus stops. All the tour busses and the airport shuttle ($7) came to the hotel to pick us up. I would not hesitate to stay in this hotel again. Very nice.
