Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Very friendly & courteous Veronica Next door at the Outrigger they have a great outdoor cafe for breakfast, a night time restaurant in the back and a very relaxed atmosphere everywhere. Very good food. There is a Dennys half way down the street. ABC stores everywhere. which is equivalent to Rite Aide to small grocery stores. All within a short distanceThis was our first trip to Hawaii and with staying at the Castle Waikiki. I cannot express enough of how nice, accomodating the staff was at this hotel. Everyone from the maid staff to the front desk, everyone was great. The only exception to this I would have to say would be the female concierge. was a little rude and aloof, whereas the male concierge was very nice. We had already booked our activities, but he was nice about that anyhow. My husband had made a comment that he hadn't like the female's attitude, but I hadn't been around her while she was on duty. Except for 1 nite, and she was very aloof with other guests, so I had to agree with my husband. The room was outstanding, I couldn't have picked a better room, the security safe, everything was clean and operating. I loved where the hotel was located, close to everything, from the beach to restaurants. I loved it soo much my daughter and I are returning in Feb for 2 more weeks!! Score 5 out of 5 LAST MINUTE TRIP Anonymous OUR CONDO WAS GREAT. WE STAYED IN A STUDIO UNIT BUT IT WAS VERY ROOMY. LARGE BATHROOM WITH WASHER AND DRYER. KITCHEN HAD MICROWAVE, STOVE,OVEN AND REFRIGERATOR. HOWEVER WE ONLY USED THE MICROWAVE TO REHEAT LEFTOVERS. THERE WAS A LANAI WITH A TABLE AND CHAIRS WHICH WE USED OFTEN. EVERYTHING YOU NEEDED WAS PROVIDED INCLUDING DISH SOAP, LAUNDRY SOAP AND BEACH TOWELS. THE LOCATION IS RIGHT ON BEAUTIFUL WAIKIKI BEACH. THERE IS NO POOL BUT WE DIDN'T NEED ONE. HOWEVER IF OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS HAD BEEN WITH US, THAT COULD HAVE BEEN A DRAWBACK. THE MAIN AREA FOR ENTERTAINMENT, DINING, AND SHOPPING WAS LOCATED ABOUT 2 BLOCKS OVER, JUST A SHORT WALK. Score 5 out of 5 Great location Scott, Bangor, ME There is shopping everywhere you go. Loved the ABC stores located on every block. My wife and I had a great time in Hawaii. The location of the hotel was great. We didn't have to rent a car. Was able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. There was construction by our suite but for most of the time, we were up and out of our room early so it didn't bother us much. I would probably request a room on the opposite side of the construction if possible. Score 5 out of 5 Right on the beach Anonymous, 2006-07-06 Imagine walking outside and there is the beach. The kids can swim while you rest.Staying at the Castle Waikiki Shore was a smart move. We were right on the beach. The location was convenient and transportation was close by. The staff was nice. My only problem was the bed which was not very comfortable. I would recommend the Castle Waikiki Shore to families traveling with children. We had a great time and would stay there again. Score 5 out of 5 Fabulous View Sheila, Vancouver, BC, 2006-05-13 The dining options next door are great. My husband and I just spent 8 great days at the Castle Waikiki Shore apartments right on the beach on beautiful Waikiki. We are ready to go back again at any time!!!!!!!!! The views were absolutely fabulous. We can't say enough about the location, the staff, the cleanliness and the fact that the rooms are condos with full cooking facilities and washers and dryers was very handy indeed. Although the Shore itself does not have any restaurants, it is just a hop, skip and a jump to go next door to the Outrigger Reef which has several to choose from. We were thoroughly pleased with the whole experience. Score 4 out of 5 A OK place to stay Anonymous, Washington, DC, 2006-05-07 There is a Denny's from one block away, and it opens 24 hours.Castle Waikiki Shore was just a typical hotel, nothing is really impressive or dispointing to me, I stay only about 6 hours in the room everyday. Score 5 out of 5 "Great Stay!" Anthony, Jacksonville, FL, 2005-10-23 We did a lot of footwook and read alot of reviews before we booked this condo. We are pretty picky and always want the most for our money... My husband and I stayed in a studio/deluxe oceanview. When we arrived(very late), the view was of the trees. The next morning we changed to the same room but a few floors up and over which made a beautiful difference...what a view! Right on the ocean! WOW! The staff there is A+, very friendly and we found ourselves talking to them as we went in and out all week. The studio was great for two people. It had a kitchenette and everything you need to cook if you wanted. The shower (no tub) had great water pressure, and the washer and dryer was handy to wash everything up again before packing up and going home. Even though this is a condo, there still was maid service daily. They provided laundry detergent and coffee supplies everyday. The hotel allows you to check out beach towels also. Location was great! Everything at your fingertips! The condo parking was $12 a day, cheaper than most in the area. A few other things: ABC stores are everywhere! haha! On Friday nights there are Fireworks over the ocean behind the Hilton. (we had a great view from our lanai for them!) The condo does not have a pool. But that didn't bother us. Would have liked a hot tob though! :) Overall, great stay, a week there wasn't long enough! Would definately stay there again. Score 4 out of 5 Castle Waikiki Shore Anonymous, 2005-08-24 Gucci, Prada, Tiffany, Burberry, Fendi and every other high end store imaginableThe staff was very friendly and the view from my balcony was fantastic. Over all the hotel is a bit old and in need of repair. I think for the money I paid that there are better places to stay in Honolulu. Score 5 out of 5 My review of Castle Waikiki Shore Mark, Minneapolis, MN, 2005-08-05 Shopping, internet access, food from fast to $$$$ is located within a very short walking distance.Castle Waikiki Shore was very comfortable, with a table and two chairs, TV, balcony overlooking Waikiki Beach, full kitchette, washer/dryer. The bathroom was spacious, but has only a small shower. The location was very good --right on Waikiki beach and there were restaurants very close. The reception desk was very helpful with questions we had. undergroudn secure parking is available for an extra charge. We would definitely stay there again--the price was good and the location was excellent. Score 5 out of 5 Extremely comfortable Ann, Boston, MA, 2005-07-09 This was a first visit to Hawaii and I could not have been more delighted with our accomadations. We were right on the beach, we had front row seats from our patio for the fireworks and all the comforts of home. |
