Most recent user reviewsScore 2 out of 5 Street where hotel located - pretty much an alley. Anonymous, Los Angeles, CA, 2006-11-26 a block a way from Kuhio and Kapahula.Rooms smelled musty and old. Not enough air circulation except for the lobby.Someone had fish for dinner in the other rooms and the smell permeated through the walls and stayed for days.Felt like you were stuck in the 70's- very retro and outdated.Place was dark! Needs a lot of maintenance.Unfortunatly, wouldnt recommend to others. When asking for directions to hot spots in the area staff was clueless to prov accurate directions. To us the bathroom was the only clean area. Score 4 out of 5 For sleeping only. John, San Diego, CA, 2006-10-02 The Beach. Were no amaenities. Had to pay for parking! Score 5 out of 5 Great Location Kirsten, Denver, CO, 2006-09-25 Tiki's Bar, on top of the Resort Quest Waikiki, just a block south of the hotel was an awesome place to unwind. They have live music nighly and a wonderful view of the ocean.I thought that this hotel was a wonderful value. Just a block from the main swim beach at Waikiki, tucked in and private, it was an incredible find. The room I had also come with a kitchenette, which became very handy for saving monty on the expensive food in Hawaii. All of the shoping and restraunts were within a block of the hotel. Score 4 out of 5 Good place for sleeping. Anonymous, Springfield, IL, 2006-07-17 There are lots of dining choices right near the Hotel on the main street (Kalakaua and Kapahulu). The Ewa Hotel was very clean. It was in a tucked away area of Waikiki which made it very quiet (easy to sleep). when we checked in late (due to our late arriving flight) the woman at the front desk made some rude comments at us in Japanese (not realizing that I understood her). She seemed very unhappy at her job, and not even polite to guests. She worked the evening shift. The rooms were comfortable and its location made it easy to get out of Waikiki. |
