During your Honolulu vacation, don't miss these great establishments and attractions:
Kualoa Ranch and Activity Club
This once-working ranch now has five different adventure packages covering two dozen activities on its 4,000 acres. Activities include horseback riding, mountain-bike riding, shooting a rifle or a .22-caliber handgun, hiking, dune cycling, jet skiing, canoeing, kayaking, snorkeling, freshwater fishing, and more. We highly recommend the beach activities. You'll be shuttled to Molii fishpond's outermost bank, which is decked out like a country club: hammocks on the beach, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, Ping-Pong tables, and beach pavilions. From here, you can take a 45-foot catamaran to Kaneohe Bay for snorkeling.
Hoomaluhia Botanical Gardens
This 400-acre botanical garden at the foot of the steepled Koolau Mountains is the perfect place for a picnic. Its name means "a peaceful refuge" and that's exactly what the Army Corps of Engineers created when they installed a flood-control project here, which resulted in a 32-acre freshwater lake and garden. Just unfold a beach mat, lie back, and watch the clouds race across the rippled cliffs of the majestic Koolau Range. This is one of the few public places on Oahu that provides a close-up view of the steepled cliffs. The park has hiking trails and -- best of all -- the island's only free inland campground. If you like hiking and nature, plan to spend at least a half a day here.
Mililani Golf Club
This par-72, 6,455-yard public course is home to the Sports Shinko Rainbow Open, where Hawaii's top professionals compete. Located between the Koolau and Waianae mountain ranges on the Leilehua Plateau, this is one of Oahu's most scenic courses, with views of mountains from every hole. Unfortunately, there are also lots of views of trees, especially eucalyptus, Norfolk pine, and coconut palm; it's a lesson in patience to stay on the fairways and away from the trees. The two signature holes, the par-4 number 4 (a classic middle hole with water, flowers, and bunkers) and the par-3 number 12 (a comfortable tee shot over a ravine filled with tropical flowers that jumps to the undulating green with bunkers on each side) are so scenic, you'll forgive the challenges they pose.

Great view, large lanai & friendly staff!
Bradley, Seattle, WA, 2006-07-30
The beach is right across the street. There is a McDonalds next door. There is an ABC convenience store next door. Close to shopping, including the International Market. A rental car location is across the street.
The Resort Quest Beach Tower Waikiki was a huge condo. It is very hard to find accommodations for 3 adults and 2 teenagers in Waikiki. A two bedroom, two bath condo (with a sofa bed) at the Resort Quest Beach Tower was just the ticket. The Resort Quest Condo was clean, spacious and had a huge lanai with sliding doors from the living room and master bedroom. Sure, they don't have a "Super Pool", the rooms aren't fancy, but the Ocean Front view, being across the street from the beach, being near shopping, and the friendly staff (ESPECIALLY THE VALET/BELLMAN STAFF!!!!) makes this place a great place to stay.
very family friendly

the resortquest waikiki beach tower was a very nice place to stay. the room was large with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, queen size sleeper sofa in living room and full kitchen with dining area.all cooking and eating utensils were available for use.the full oceanview with spacious lanai was wonderful,a great place to unwind after a day at the beach or signtseeing. the beach was very close, just across the street.the facility provided beach towels, boogie boards, chairs and umbrellas free of charge.the staff was always very friendly and helpful.there are no restaurants on site, but many nice restaurants are just a short walk away.our family of five including 2 teenagers and a preschooler enjoyed our week long stay at the waikiki beach tower and would definitely stay there again.
Very Friendly and helpful Staff

The condo could have used an update but was very clean and the staff was great. The rooms were big with a great few of the beach from the living room and the dinning room. The Bellmen were there with recommendations of places to go and how to get there. They keep up on street closings and alternate routes. We would love to go back.
