Most recent user reviewsScore 2 out of 5 Old and in poor condition Kenneth Shopping Mall across the street.Carpets were stained and dirty. Bathrooms had old fixtures and in poor repair. Staff was friendly and accommodated us when we asked to move to a better room. Mattress was old and not very comfortable. Score 4 out of 5 My review of Savannah - Days Inn Oglethorpe Mall/Southside Anonymous, Orlando, FL The restaurant next door was great a short walk. there was a majot mall across the street. Again you could walk to the mall.the hotel was fairly nice and convenient to my location of travel Score 2 out of 5 For the Economy Traveler Anonymous, 2007-02-25 Short Drive to historic down town SavannahYou definitely get what you pay for. This hotel has no frills, but the room was clean. It is an older hotel that could use definitely use some updates (lamps, curtains etc..) but I was comfortable. I stayed here on a business trip with my boyfriend but if I had been alone I would have paid a bit more to stay at a little nicer hotel. Nice staff though. Score 1 out of 5 Review phillip, Cincinnati, OH, 2006-10-10 mall just across the streetScore 3 out of 5 Review Robert, 2006-08-30 The Days Inn is quite old and could use some touching up. Score 1 out of 5 Very Poor Maintenance Robert, Seattle, WA, 2006-06-05 If shopping in a Mall is important then this could be a place to stay. The Days Inn at the Oglethorpe Mall was a great disappointment. We stayed in two rooms. The first was on a second floor and involved considerable walking whichis difficult for my wife. The first room bathroom fixtures were sub standard and needed maintenance. The second room also had sub standard maintenance and the GFI plug was in operable. Hotel staff ran two extension cords from the bedroom to the bathroom in order to operate the hair dryer and coffee maker. Very definitely a safty hazard. This was pointed out to the desk clerk.Carpets were stained in both rooms. Based on our stay at this Days Inn, I would be reluctant to stay at another Days Inn. Score 1 out of 5 Don't Stay Here Donna, Atlanta, GA, 2006-03-14 Once I entered the room I see that there is not a hairdryer in the room(again very important when traveling on a motorcycle) which I had also asked about when I called hotel before leaving home. The response to my call about hairdryer was...well we are sorry mam we don't have any in the office, but we will let you use one in another room to dry your hair if you like. Now I don't know about most people, but I am not interested in taking a shower in one room and going to another to dry my hair. So I just went to the local store and bought a small compact dryer, came back and proceeded to plug it in when we then realize that the outlet provided for the dryer did not work. Again I called front desk, they sent maintenance over to check it out. Maintenance checks it, then says something about the ground not working and he is sorry, but they don't have another one to fix it with. His solution was to run a drop cord from behind the tv set around the wall to the vanity area and put a splitter on it, so that we could use the dryer and make coffee. Sound delightful to any one yet? Oh and let's not forget that I had to go to office 4 times to get 2 key cards that would both open the door and then they had me locked out of my room when I returned that night at 9 pm., so I in turn had to go to the office and retrieve yet another set of key cards. Never not once during my stay with all these problems was I offered another room. All I was offered was a 10% discount for one night and after reviewing my credit card statement I can see that didn't happen either. So NO, I will never stay there again and I will not recommend it to anyone else. All I can say at this point is GOOD LUCK to anyone who does happen to book with this hotel. Score 4 out of 5 My review of Savannah - Days Inn Oglethorpe Mall/Southside William, Louisville, KY, 2005-10-16 Days Inn - Oglethorpe Mall was acceptable. The interior of the room was very clean, however the A/C was hard to control. On the other hand, the exterior needs to be cleaned. Leaves and paper cups and cigarettes showed the it had been a long time since anyone picked up outside. Management needs to walk around the property. Score 1 out of 5 Refused to stay.... Anonymous, Pittsburgh, PA, 2005-07-24 I checked into the hotel only to check out 10 minutes later after viewing the conditions of the room. I was no expecting great amenities from a Day's Inn, but I did expect a clean room and common areas. The room was filthy, stained, with an unpleasant area and the common areas were dirty. There were other Day's Inns in the area, all of which seemed clean and presentable. Once I checked out I stayed at a nearby Spring Hill Suites and had a great experience. Score 1 out of 5 Clean it up! Michael, Philadelphia, PA, 2005-06-11 The overall upkeep of the motel was a big letdown. I thought there were national standards, but this one was a big downer. The entire grounds and rooms are in need of a major overhaul. There is a pool though. |
