Most recent user reviewsScore 1 out of 5 Nasty Susan, Charlotte, NC Tybee Island is a short drive.Days Inn Southside-Savannah Upon entering the room their was an odor and the room seemed smaller. Looking further I wondered if anyone checked up on the housekeeping crew? The toilet was nasty but the mattress seemed comfortable. So I began a little cleaning. Cleaned the doorknobs, lightplates, telephone, lamp knobs and the toilet seat. You may ask why did we stay? So the 3 of us made the best out of a bad Days Inn situation and went on our sightseeing way! Our first stop was for room spray. I almost forgot the jacuzzi, that we didn't get to use. It was cold!!!!!!! The next day, housekeeping made the beds but that was all. Nothing done in the bathroom, toilet bowl still dirty and floor unsweeped. What are they getting paid for? Score 4 out of 5 comment Helen, 2006-07-17 Check in was fast, the first nigh we found a bug in one bed, it was killed. I called front desk, they said they would send someone- no one came. After a while I called desk again and they said to keep bug o show them, I explained to them that it was on the floor dead. No one came. The air conditioner was noisy, they fixed it, I could hear water running like i was in our bathroom but it was in the room that backed ours. I could hear i all night. I did tell the front desk and they said they would check on it. the location was good for where I wanted to go. Score 2 out of 5 for what its worth Terrence, 2006-04-22 sticky fingers B.B.Q. is off the chainthe outside appearance of the hotel was good. when we entered the room it seemed o.k. there was a missing night stand and the door lock was broken other than that it was a good size room a.c. worked very well.the bathroom was large. the shower was great. location was excellent for food and getting to the beach. there is room for improvement. maids need to be more customer service minded. when you say come back later ,you mean come back later not Score 5 out of 5 It was fine Barbara, Kansas City, MO, 2006-03-26 Well, it's a nice area and full of the basic shops and restaurants. You'll find Walgreens, Panera, and tons more. There are tons of the strip shopping malls with everything you would have at home really close by the hotel. This hotel was clean, in a nice neighborhood, and met our needs. It is only like 12 miles or so from the historic district of Savannah, but it really felt like 30 minutes. The main street to get there is a very busy one with lots of stoplights, so not as fast as a highway would have been. But we were happy to stay out farther to be in a safe neighborhood. The people were nice and the hotel was clean a basis. I would definately stay there again. The breakfast was basic so we went out after the 1st morning. Score 4 out of 5 a bit deceiving Anonymous, 2005-12-20 Savannah mall quite close - nice shopping. The room was clean, but the service was uneven - one clerk told us we were 15 minutes from the airport, which wasn't the case - we were quite a bit further, and the other couldn't find us a current HBO guide. The beds were also a bit stiff, but I appreciated the sink outside of the bathroom. The breakfast was decent, but, in general, I wouldn't recommend staying more than one night. Score 4 out of 5 Location Anonymous, 2005-10-26 and basic needs met. In this visit, housekeeping had not done an adequate job of preparing the room for occupancy. There were no kleenexes in the container and the liquid was left in the coffee carafe from the last guest. Score 5 out of 5 satisfied with everything Richard, Indianapolis, IN, 2005-09-30 large mall nearbynice and quite Score 5 out of 5 Nice Hotel Anonymous, Atlanta, GA, 2005-09-13 Savannah mall down the street couple of blocks,Mediaplay and other shops across the street. The Hotel staff was friendly,Rooms were nice separate bathroom from vanity area.
