The area was very safe. The Savannah ESA was an excellent value for our needs. We just needed an overnight on our way to Florida and it was perfect. The location at first seemed a little seedy but we realized the area we drove through to get there was what caused our worries. Right near the hotel was an upscale plaza and a grocery store and Starbucks. The drive into the historic district was easy and lovely, so location was a plus. The hotel itself, did not have a lot of amenities but was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and professional. We would definitely stay again Score 3 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2006-09-18 No review provided by user Score 4 out of 5 Good location Fabian, 2006-09-04 Short drive to downtown, river and tourist attractions.Hotel is located close to shopping, business, dining. Score 5 out of 5 Very comfortable Curtis, Richmond, VA, 2006-08-07 They had a ghost walk around downtown. The ESA Savannah-Midtown was very comfortable, the room had a lot of room. The bathroom was clean which is hard to find when I stayed in other hotels. The location was very good -- only 10 minutes from downtown and there were restaurants very close. I enjoyed that it had a mini-kitchen but didn't have time to use it. But the next time I come to Savannah I will be staying there again. Score 2 out of 5 No amenities Anonymous, 2006-05-01 The mall was less than a mile away along with almost and restaurant you wanted. This hotel was about five miles from Historic Savannah. This was our first and last time staying at an Extended Stay hotel. There were no amenities and maid service was available for an additional fee. The room was comfortable and the mini kitchen was nice. Score 4 out of 5 Good Value Eileen, 2006-04-03 The hotel is located on Abercorn, which is a main artery into the downtown area. Start with breakfast at Clary's Cafe and then head to River Street. The ESA Savannah was a good value for the price, but the staff was above average. From check-in to check-out everyone was friendly and accommodating. The room was a typical suite. It had a very small kitchenette that suited its purpose. The room was clean. The location on Abercorn is great. Only a few minutes to downtown and Tybee Island, and very close to the mall. Score 4 out of 5 Review Damien, Atlanta, GA, 2005-09-05 No review provided by user Score 4 out of 5 Okay Robert, 2005-05-30 This hotel was fine for what it was, an extended stay hotel, but it would have been nice if there were more dining options or amenities. There wasn't a pool or fitness center. The rooms were clean and cheap, and we were happy with what we got for the money. |
