Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Very helpful Anonymous If you have children with you there is Chucky E Cheese within walking distance.I also saw a Denny's. It is a sort drive to down town Savannah which makes it very nice. The Clubhouse Inn and Suites was a very clean and nice motel. The staff was very helpful and pleasant.I would stay there again. It was nice that each room had it's own balcony or patio to sit on. Score 5 out of 5 Very noisy at night Anonymous, Atlanta, GA The hotel's free hot breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. This hotel is a very good one. The problem was caused by a softball tournament in town with many of the players staying together in this hotel. They were out in the hallway until 4:00am talking loudly, slamming room doors, etc. Security nor management never seened to try to control this. Score 4 out of 5 Good Experience Anonymous, 2007-02-10 The hotel is only a short drive from the Savannah historic district. The Clubhouse Inn is a good hotel for the price. Check-in was quick, and the staff was friendly. However, the room had a funky smell like it used to be a smoking room. But other than that, I was pleased. I especially liked the fact that the rooms are only accessable from the inside of the hotel; which is great for security reasons. Score 4 out of 5 Room not ready at check-in Bertha, Birmingham, AL, 2006-06-09 Very convenient to restaurants and shopping centers. My experience went well with the exception of having to wait an hour for the room to be ready at check-in which was very unacceptable. After driving for 6 hours, having to sit in the hotel lobby waiting for my room to be ready was absolutely horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!! Score 3 out of 5 Fine but not as nice as what I expected. Anonymous, 2006-05-16 The Oglethorpe Mall was just a mile away.I thought the facility needed an upgrade. The carpets were worn and some painting was needed. The hotel staff were courteous and the hot breakfast was a plus. Score 4 out of 5 Excellent Value Anonymous, Jackson, MS, 2005-11-09 Hotel has no resturant. However, many resturants located in near vicinity.Room rate was very reasonable. Hotel ammenities and staff were excellent. Excellent value. Score 5 out of 5 My review of Clubhouse Inn & Suites - Savannah Anonymous, Des Moines, IA, 2005-09-20 Great restaurant, Salt Water Grill, recommended by hotel staff. Great seafood on the water. Not inexpensive but definitely worth a visit.Good value, nice breakfast and evening manager's reception. Easy access to historical district. Score 1 out of 5 Privacy invasion Anonymous, Gainesville, FL, 2005-08-13 Restraurants were across the street. While we were away someone was allowed to enter our room. We returned to find someone else's luggage in our room. The assistance manger removed the luggage and stated the maid must have let the person in. No other explanations or apology was offered. Later that night the person came to our door trying to get in. My husband went to the door,as he opened the door the person came barging in the room, demanding his luggage. My husband told him that the assistance manger had his luggage. He then left and went to the front desk telling the check in person that someone was in his room. I was very upset about someone being allowed in my room to begin with, and then a person comes barging in my room while I'm in bed. No one ever came to our room to address what had happened. We were allowed to leave as if nothing had happened. I will never stay there again, nor will I recomend this place to anyone. Score 4 out of 5 Clubhouse Inn & Suites Abercorn St. Savannah, GA Anonymous, Monroe, LA, 2005-07-22 You could walk to this large mall just down the street, but the road is very busy so it's safer to drive. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful. I was there on business so I did not have time to use any of the amenities. Everyone else seemed to enjoy the pool, however. Since I was traveling alone, I really liked the fact that you can only access the rooms from the interior of the hotel. It made me feel more secure. I also liked being able to have breakfast every morning before my meetings. That probably saved me $50 and a lot of time, and it allowed me to sleep a little later! Overall staying there was a good experience. I'll probably stay there again.
