They were remodeling during my stay and the room they put me in was in the very center of the mess. The bathroom smelled like urine and the air in the room was musty. It was hard to breathe in the room like there was mold or mildew. I complained to the man at the front desk and all he said was I will have someone look at it. He never apologized or offered to compensate me for the inconvenience. To say the least I was very unsatisfied. Hotel was quiet in great location close to highway. Lots of resturaunts & shopping nearby. Nice to have a pool for the kids. No complaints. Have complimentary quick breakfast that changes a couple of choices daily. Would stay here again if in the area. Chang's and Smokey Bones nearby plus numerous fast food chains nearby.The Ramada Alpharetta offered courteous staff and a clean,generous size room with table and chairs; however, the elevator smelled badly and the second floor where my room was located was uncomfortably hot and damp. It was a very cool evening when I arrived. When I got to my room, I immediately turned on the air conditioning unit. It took some time to cool down the hot room. The unit did cool, but it was terribly noisy. I woke up several times during the night thinking my alarm was going off, only to realize it was the noisy air conditioner. The coffee looked and tasted like very weak tea. There was no milk for the cereal. There was no butter for the bagels, only strips of cut up cream cheese. There were a few apples. A gentleman told me there is usually more, earlier in the morning. It was 7 AM when I went down. I will not stay in this hotel again. Score 5 out of 5 very clean and great price Joseph, Augusta, GA, 2005-08-07 right down the street is a local mall and shopping center, also there is plenty of places to eat from fine dining(p.f. changs) to fast food(taco bell, chick-fil-a)it was very clean and was a very nice place to stay for the price. i would definatly stay again. |
