Most recent user reviewsScore 3 out of 5 Review alex, Miami, FL Restaurants and other travelers places are very near, River St is a treat and is a great after dinner walk. This hotel is centrally located but so are about 4 other hotels one or two blocks away on Bay St for lot less money; the river view is an additional $85.00 not worth the cost. When checking in they ask me to use a express machine located on the lobby similar to an ATM machine, very cold and unpersonal welcome to a hotel. The shower is miniscule and very uncomfortable with traces of an some what older restoration. This hotel is simply very expensive and its nothing expetacular about it. Score 5 out of 5 Location! Location! Location! kristen, Minneapolis, MN There are a wide variety of tours you can take within few blocks from the hotel. Whether by foot; trolley or horse drawn carriage. The Hyatt Regency Savannah was more than I expected. The room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff was very friendly and even called me by name when I dialed room service. It is located on the RiverWalk in the heart of historic Savannah and I was able to walk everywhere. I will definately stay there on my next visit. Score 5 out of 5 Perfect Location Bell, Knoxville, TN, 2007-03-14 Hotel was beautiful and you can not find a better location if you purpose is to see the city of Savannah and the riverfront. The restaurant and lounge both overlook the river, which makes for a very pleasant experience when dining or just having a drink. The rooms were large and confortable and the staff was great! Score 4 out of 5 they nickel and dime you. Anonymous, 2006-12-17 The riverfront area of Savannah Georgia is beautiful. Great dinning and shopping.I was disappointed in the nickel and dime policies. 9.95 for wireless internet! 16.95 for breakfast buffett! 15.00 per day for parking. I was also disappointed in the upkeep of the bathrooms mildew, missing and discolored tiles, missing grout and the list go on.. You call yourself a Hyatt or should you call yourself the rundown hotel. Score 4 out of 5 Location Location Location john, Baltimore, MD, 2006-10-30 Only a few blocks away is an unbelievable array of art galleries, boutiques, small shops filled with local crafts and artwork and a wide choice of dining. The Hyatt Regency is in a wonderful location in Savannah--full view of the river with all the excitement of River Street right out the door. Their roof-high atrium in the interior of the hotel makes the entire hotel feel open, bright and airy. Their staff is extremely courteous and welcoming. Score 5 out of 5 Great location Anonymous, 2006-10-22 The Cobblestone Cafe on the riverwalk serves a great breakfast. The Hyatt Regency Savannah was in a great location (right on the riverwalk). The room was large and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was mediocre. The Hotel had a nice restaurant and a good coffee shop in the lobby. Overall, the stay was enjoyable. Score 5 out of 5 Good hotel Ian, Boston, MA, 2006-09-30 The parks of Savannah begin a few blocks away. The hotel is right on the river with a riverwalk along its shores. The hotel was centrally located, was clean and up to date. We enjoyed our stay there. My only annoyance was our room was not ready when we arrived at 1:00 p.m. so we had to check our bags and went on a wlaking tour of Savannah. The hotel room was large, had a comfortable bed and was very clean. We ate in the hotel restaurant for breakfast and had a good meal there. Score 5 out of 5 Great location Richard, Louisville, KY, 2006-09-17 great brew accross the streetGreat location very convientant to the river walk and other attractions, was a little to $$$$ but ok for one night. |
