The Agla hotel is ideally situated a mere 50 meters from a brilliant beach in a quiet area of Rhodes city,within walking distance of the medieval town,castle of the Knights of St.John,museums,shopping center,casino, restaurants,bars and night life. The hotel combines business with leisure and modern,well maintained accommodation with a friendly atmosphere.
Facilities include air conditioned public rooms,a large outdoor swimming pool with pool-side grill bar,bar,restaurant,laundry service. The bedrooms are comfortable and relaxing,each with a private balcony and bathroom,TV, direct dial telephone,radio,kettle,mini fridge,hairdryer,fax facilities,in room movies. Some rooms have air conditioning and sea views. Breakfast is included in the rate.

I was the only American in the Hotel, but the staff were able to communicate well, and had excellent English skills. This hotel is an excellent getaway location, and is convenient to several tourist locations in Rhodes City. The Old Town, Palace of the Grand Masters, Casino are all within a 5-10 minute walk, and the beach is across the street. They are not ideally set up for business travelers, but they do offer high speed internet for a fee..it is at a common PC with no printer/fax service. The phones were also unable to accomodate use of ATT Phone Cards, and I had to bill calls to my room at the hotel rate. However, the Agla Hotel offers a great location, convenience, and a super polite staff for the leisure traveller, and one great value. |
