This is a good hotel in an excellent location, making it suitable for all types of travellers. (08/06 AC) This is a modern block in keeping with the surrounding architecture. This is a centrally located hotel, approximately 10 minutes walk from the famous Plaka area. Situated on the main road between Omonia Square and Constitution Square. All the major sights are within walking distance.

Room was very good including bathroom, but since we were double occupancy, bed size was quite small--not even regular queen size. Breakfast fare and facilities incl service very good to excellent.We would very especially wish to compliment male reception person who was most helpful to us with all our queries. Altogether, I would rate hotel 7.5 out of 10. The room was nicely decorated that included achandelier and leather chair. I couldn't get the wake-up-feature on the phone to work; either the instructions weren't accurate or I was misunderstanding them. It was an easy check-in and check-out. The restaurant was convenient and the staff very accommodating; however, the food was just mediocre (tough chicken) and a bit pricey. Score 5 out of 5 location Stanley, 2006-06-21 Acropolis seemed far to begin with, but within days of roaming around Athens, it really couldn't be in a better location...very central to everything.Best Western Esperia Palace was great...clean, friendly and a really nice location. Just blocks from Syntagma Square and very safe. Within walking distance from just about anything you would want to see. I would go back to this hotel again if I vacationed in Athen again. Score 4 out of 5 very nice hotel Anonymous, 2006-06-12 There are many designer shops not far from the hotel and easy to get to by walking.The staff was easy to talk to and they booked a taxi for me when I needed it. The only thing that I did not like was that I had a very difficult time to lock the door. I was only spending a few hours there and I didn't have the time to hunt someone down to lock the door for me but it did have a second lock on the door which I used. It was a very nice hotel. The room was excellent. It was a little noisy but it is in downtown athens so what do you expect. I liked the location of the hotel. I would stay there again if I had more time. |
