This hotel offers good service. The 5 minute boat crossing is very pleasant and the drop-off point is in the centre of the Aswan Bazaars. Please note the hotel pool will be closed until November 2006 due to renovations taking place at the hotel.0606hm The actual building has a very tall tower which can been seen from some distance. It is a modern strucure in white stone and is extremely well maintained. This hotel is located on Elephantine Island and is reached by a private boat service. The hotel is totally private with pleasant gardens.
Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Great Location Alan, San Francisco, CA, 2006-07-02 We highly recommend a motoboat ride around Elephantine Island to see St. Simeon's Monastery, the Tombs of the Nobles, Aga Kahn's Tomb, the Nubian villages, the and to experience the cateracts. It was a perfectly delightful morning.Our stay at Elefantine Aswan Resort was delightful. The service was excellent, the lobby spacious, the room had a beautiful view of the Nile and breakfast was a delightful and delicious experience. A free ferry traversed the Nile to make travel convenient. We enjoyed a fine view of the Nobles Tombs and appreciated the central location of the hotel. The air conditioning kept us comfortable and there were ample opportunities to enjoy a cool drink while watcing the Nile. We highly recommend this hotel as the perfect balance between site seeing and relaxing. |
