Most recent user reviewsScore 2 out of 5 A Long Way From The Beach Joseph This place has a number of things that need to be addressed before they deserve to get the price we paid or a positive recomendation. The hallways had a musty, fake floral oder. The drink machine, directly across from our room, alternated between moaning sounds and the pulsing of a locomotive running at full speed. The room itself was acceptable though humble. No door on the guest closet. The ironing bord strung up on the outside of the clothing rack looking like a very unlucky member of the cleaning staff. Wrapped PAPER cups in the bathroom ( plasic wrapped foam cups for the coffee) . There was no internet connection. I discovered the next morning that the computor in the computor guest area was broken. Oh, I forgot. This hotel accepts pets. We have a small dog and that is why we stayed here in the first place. What we did not know was that there was a $25.00 extra charge on our bill for cleaning the room because of the dog and there was also a $10.00 day room charge. Score 4 out of 5 An average hotel Scott, Birmingham, AL There are a lot of restaurants within a very short drive. I walked to Piccadilly for lunch and in the evenings visited a very nice local sports bar the Ale House, Carrabas and a newly renovated Red Lobster. The Comfort Inn was average at best. The room was clean and large. I was disappointed with the breakfast and location. The hotel was under renovation. Also, parking was a major hassel because there wasn't any. The pool area has potential and is a very nice area for unwinding. It will be nice when the restaurant reopens. Score 2 out of 5 Staff not trained properly Andy, 2007-03-09 HootersThe front desk staff was not trained properly, The laundry service in to room states to call the front desk for pick up, the front desk says we need to drop it off at the desk. The staff at the front desk staff did not stay at the desk but at the back office and did not know if there was anyone in front. The maid service was OK. Score 5 out of 5 Very helpful staff Maryann, 2006-11-05 If you need to get to another airport, such as Fort Lauderdale or Miami, it's a short cab ride to the Tri-Rail where you pick up an Amtrak train for $3.00 for the entire trip.We were staying for only one night and needed assistance with further transportation to a more distant airport. The hotel staff went out of their way to help us find the best transportation options. The room accommodations were very comfortable. Score 1 out of 5 Not good for the business traveler Anonymous, Minneapolis, MN, 2006-03-31 The Comfort Inn Palm Beach Lakes is definitely not recommended for the business traveler. One of the key attributes for which I selected this property was Internet access with the other being location. The location was not bad, right off of the highway, but the hotel could not provide me with Internet access despite numerous requests for a new cable as I was instructed by the help desk to which they directed me. The front desk attendant could not leave to bring me a new cable nor switch me to another room. And on top of that, the printer was broken in their business center which consisted of only two computers that charge by the minute. The room itself was worn, especially the carpet, and there were numerous cigarette burns on the blanket (ironically in a non-smoking room). Because of the lack of assistance by the staff and the condition of the room, I would not recommend this property, which says a lot because I do not require 4-star hotels and not particularly demanding when it comes to hotels. Score 4 out of 5 Great Location Andrea, Miami, FL, 2006-03-26 There are several known restaurants in the area. The Piccadilly's next door was a great convenience for family-type dining. The location of the Comfort Inn Palm Beach Lakes was great. It was close to restaurants and other commercial venues we were able to use. The comfort of the hotel and the staff met my expectations. My only complaint is that we paid too much for the cost of the room. I would recomend driving because of the business of the road by the hotelWe were very satisfied with our stay at the comfort Inn. the only thing I would change is more people to check in and out. People had to wait in line a little longer than I would have liked. Otherwise, a nice few days away. Oh yes, though not the hotels fault, the computer was not available for use. I wish it had been. Apparently, the company that fixes them was very slow. That was a shame for those of us that needed to get online. |
