It is a very short drive from Busch Gardens and there is a lot to do in Downtown Tampa.

The breakfast was great. We enjoyed the hotel although I noticed a smoke odor in the no smoking rooms.

I thought this hotel was nice and at a very resonable rate. Great location, about 20 min to the airport and minutes away from Busch Gardens. Nice pool, large comfortable beds. The restuarants around the hoel where okay. I would stay here again for sure.

My review of Fairfield by Marriott Tampa North

I recommend a short trip to Ybor City to enjoy some night life and/or have dinner at the Columbia Restaurant. Two of my colleagues and I enjoyed a lovely traditional Spanish dinner there with great attention from our waiter, and Flamenco dancing to watch.

My experience at the Fairfield Inn in Tampa was an excellent one. I had to travel on business and needed accomodations for just 2 nights. I also needed something affordable and safe. Being a woman traveling alone, I wanted to feel secure. The Fairfield Inn fit my needs perfectly. The hotel is in New (north) Tampa, about 10 mins. from Busch Gardens and 20+ mins away from city central. It is worth the short drive to stay in this nicer, quieter side of town versus staying somewhere more expensive and less secure. At the Fairfield Inn, I arrived quite late but was quickly assisted by the night manager. He was concerned with my comfort and offered to get me something to eat or drink even though it was past midnight when I came in. The room was very clean and comfortable, as was the bathroom. Everything was fresh and in working order. The room had a desk and wifi or dsl internet. The hotel is next to a nature preserve. When I woke the next morning, I opened my curtains to see herons wandering around. I didn't have time to take advantage of the free breakfast, but there was plenty to offer including fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee/tea, juices, and make-your-own waffles. When I asked about being able to check-in online to secure my boarding pass for my flight home, he let me use their computer to check-in and print off my pass. He was very gracious and beyond helpful. If ever it seemed like I was looking for something, he was quick to ask if he could get me anything. I really felt welcome and looked-after. I highly recommend this simple, clean, and courteous hotel for the budget business traveler as well as for families looking for a quiet, safe refuge from the city.

There is a Bob Evan's Restaurant next door to the hotel.

The hotel was older, but very clean.

Extremely Clean and well kept hotel. Very customer friendly.

There is a Bob Evans Restaurant a few steps from the hotel with excellent food.

This Fairfield was newly remodeled and the room and premises were immaculate. The check in was very easy and they made you feel at home. I would highly recommend this hotel.

great for women staying alone

Hotel is across from one of my favorite parks, Lettuce Lake Park. It's great for families or if you're alone and want to experience nature.

The room was clean and more importantly, I felt safe since it is an enclosed hotel. It's also a small hotel so you don't feel isolated from hotel employees.
