ULYSES, Fort Lauderdale, FL, 2006-10-29 Just a short drive from Busch Gardens and plenty of restaurants nearby. My room was nicely kept and it was not dirty at all. I was one of the lucky one to get a clean room, I have no complaints. I just see it as you get what you pay for, if you want an affordable place to stay and close to the parks you have the chances of running into a place that may have some room cleaner than others Score 2 out of 5 My review of Howard Johnson Express Inn - Tampa North/Busch Gardens Anonymous, New York, NY, 2006-08-05 all major rest are walking distancethe only bad expereince was that the pool was not working. Score 1 out of 5 HORRIBLE, DO NOT GO UNLESS YOU HAVE TOO AND THEN YOU SHOULD LOOK ELSEWHERE! monica, 2006-08-01 TOOK AN EXTRA HALF-HOUR LONGER TO GET TO THIS HOTEL BECAUSE THE DIRECTIONS WERE NOT CLEAR ENOUGH. DID NOT SAY WHETHER TO GO SOUTH OR NORTH. THE HOTEL HAD A LEAKING COKE MACHINE IN FRONT OF THE STAIRS THAT YOU HAD TO GO UP TO GET TO THE SECOND FLOOR. THERE WAS WATER LEAKING ALL OVER THE TILE FLOOR. THERE WERE BATH TOWELS STUCK ALL UNDER THE MACHINE BUT IT WAS STILL LEAKING OUT INTO THE FLOOR TO THE BASE OF THE STEPS.THE WATER IN THE SHOWER MADE A LOUD GRINDING NOISE THAT WENT THRU THE WHOLE UPSTAIRS FLOOR. SO LOUD IT MADE OTHER GUESTS OPEN THEIR DOORS TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON. THE POOL WAS NOT RUNNING AND HAS NOT BEEN RUNNING FOR A WHILE. THE WATER WAS GREEN AND SLIMEY AND YOU COULD NOT SEE THE BOTTOM OF THE POOL. THERE WAS GARBAGE AND BUGS IN THE WATER. YOU COULD ONLY SEE TWO OF THE STEPS ON THE STAIRS THAT WERE USED TO GO INTO THE POOL.IT WAS THAT GREEN.TEN STEPS OR SO FROM THE POOL WAS A LITTLE POOL THAT WAS COVERED IN ALGAE. IT WAS EIETHER A CHILD POOL OR A HOT TUB AT ONE TIME.THERE WERE WEEDS GROWING OUT OF IT AND FLIES SWARMING ALL AROUND IT. IT ALSO HAD A ROTTEN EGG SMELL. IT WAS SO GREEN AND SWAMPY THAT YOU COULD NOT SEE THE BOTTOM OF IT BUT IT WAS DEFINATELY DEEP ENOUGH FOR A PET OR SMALL CHILD TO FALL INTO TO. THE CONCRETE AROUND THE POOL HAD CRACKS IN IT AND THERE WERE LARGE HOLES THAT WERE LARGE AND DEEP ENOUGH TO GET YOUR FEET STUCK IN AND FALL. THERE WERE THREE OF US IN A ROOM AND WE ONLY HAD TWO PILLOWS. ASKED FRONT DESK FOR AN EXTRA PILLOW AND THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY. AFTER TALKING TO THE MANAGER, HE SAID HE COULD DO NOTHING BUT GIVE US A DISCOUNT ON OUR NEXT STAY!!!! WE WILL NEVER STAY AT ONE OF THEIR HOTLES AGAIN!!! Score 4 out of 5 Nice place to rest your head wallace, Jacksonville, FL, 2006-07-26 During heavy traffic instead of going on i-275 to ybor city or the convention center just take nebraska ave.The room was alright. If your there just to lay your head down its great. It doesnt have all the amenities of hotels but for the price you cant beat it. The bed was comfortable, it had cable, the housekeeping was also a bonus. The only problem was the lighting in the room, it was a little dark. Overall I would stay at this hotel again. Score 1 out of 5 Bad Neighbor-Up Safe Hotel Donna, 2006-07-09 Busch GardensThe room was better as far as furnishing but the sliding glass door did not lock. The bathroom door lock was broken, the carpet was nasty and the room smelled. I found that the area was not good once I left to go to the local Walmart. So we only stayed one night and asked to be reimbursed for the 2nd night. I will never stay here again or recommend the hotel. Score 2 out of 5 Dirty Floors and Doors would not shut susan, Syracuse, NY, 2006-04-10 Very busy street to pull out on toThe Howard Johsons Express was very dirty. THe bathroom in the room had a black grease stain on the floor. There was something on the carpet because I walked from the bed to the bathroom and my feet were black. THe door for the bathroom did not shut easy. The main entrance door looked like the maintanence man superglued the lock assembly on it because it wobbled everytime you opened the door. Very bad expience at this hotel and not in a very good location. |
