Be sure to take the exit 92 West; hotel is about 4 miles from exit, on your left.

The desk receptionist was very friendly and helped me with local driving directions. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and facility was quiet so I got a good night's sleep.

the hotel have very clean rooms and comfortable all the areas where also well keep my wife and i like also the small coller and microwave the staff was above all excellent one of the front desk manager he make shure all was perfect at all time of any request he was there very promt. i personaly like small hotels and not large buiding where the guest gets lost in the great service and personal touch and are only a room number

Comfortable and cozy for all

I only went to one place around in the area, but there are a lot of places to eat and take the family shopping. If you want to see the Bucs stadium, its right down the street, just keep going north on Dale Mabry and you will run right into it.

First impression of the staff was great. The person who worked the front desk was very helpful and friendly. Told me places I should go by and eat. The room was very well kept, beds were comfortable to sleep in and the room itself was devine. I had a toilet problem one night and the maintenance guy came right over and fixed the problem for me. Did not have to wait hours or even minutes, he was there to fix the problem in seconds. The pool area was nice and clean. Didn't really get a chance to eat breakfast, but the next time I stay at Howard Johnson Express, I will.

A good deal

It is a little confusing when getting off the interstate. The hotel is on South Dale Mabry Road and the road sign say East and West with the words north and south also plastered at the bottom....just head towards town and its about 2 miles on the left.

We needed a hotel near the airport as we were flying out early the next morning. At first we thought the airport was a considerable distance away but in fact it was a very direct 10 minute drive and very easy to drop off our rental car and check in. The rooms spotless and surprisingly quiet despite being near the road and included a microwave and frig-which was a suprise considering the cost. There is an ample selection of various resturants in the immediate area. I would highly recommend this hotel in addition to the property itself, it was excellant value for money.

Not What We Thought

Our hotel room was very, very clean. However, the beds were most uncomfortable and, as there was a considerable space between the floor and the bottom of the hotel room door, it just didn't feel safe. Because we had arrived quite late at night and were staying only one night, we didn't pay much attention to our surroundings when we checked in (the staff at the front desk was wonderful, by the way!). But as we left in the morning, we realized that the location was not one we would have chosen for a stay with our children.

Very Uncomfortable area.

You would not feel safe walking around in this area. The question above does not apply to me...I picked a category because it made me pick.

Bad smell in room. Thank goodness we booked this room for sleep only! We spent 7 hrs. in the room, if we had booked this room for any longer I would NOT of stayed there!!! People were hanging out in the parking lot playing loud music!!!! It was like a motel that local people stayed at to party!!! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS MOTEL TO ANYONE!!!!!

Close to Airport

The location of the hotel to the Tampa airport was good which was important to us. Unfortunately, our rooms were not very clean. We had two rooms, one had many ants in it and they were unable to switch that room for another. It also was very noisy with people arriving in the middle of the night. Also the neighborhood was not that great, the other side of Dale Mabry would have been a better choice.

On this strip there are so many stores of many needs plus many many places to choose from to eat.

The Holiday Inn Express is a very well kept hotel. It is very clean inside and out.The staff was very helpful in many ways, such as the airport lost one of our luggage pieces which included tooth brushes ,tooth paste exc.. they accomidated us with what we needed. also this hotel is in a very good spot for shopping needs and resturants.

This Holiday Inn works as a quick place to stay and sleep. I think for a one night stay is best.
