Most recent user reviewsScore 3 out of 5 You get what you pay for Anonymous, Miami, FL, 2007-03-06 The clubs at Ybor city are two exits away on I4, so if you are into the nightlife, then it is a short drive away. The Days Inn was a pretty cheap hotel located in Ybor/downtown location on Tampa. Overall it is located in a somewhat sketchy part of town, which didn't really please me too much. The room was a decent size, and pretty clean. The service was also average. I would only recommend this hotel if it is one of the last resorts, and you are staying for no more than one night. Score 1 out of 5 Seedy section of town Terrence, Cleveland, OH, 2006-10-16 The Days Inn was an okay place to stay as long as you didn't spend too much time in the hotel. The drawers were broken and crooked and the pool wasn't very clean. Not many people stayed there and we never saw anyone in the pool. It was in a bad section of town away from family friendly restaurants and shopping. The service was very slow--when we requested an extra pillow it took almost 2 hours for anyone to respond. We would not recommend it to our friends or family. Score 2 out of 5 Bad Neiborhood Anonymous, Newark, NJ, 2006-07-03 Great food for everyone. Mom, Dad and the children. a wide variety of eaterys. The hotel was not the cleanest. The carpet needs to be changed, not cleaned. No refridgerator in the room, not even the smallest one you can get, you have to pay extra for everything. I have stayed at other Days Inns and had a refridgerator and an Ironing board and Iron. I had to ask for the ironing board, but the iron was there. I did like the location as far as the convienience to and from the parks. Score 1 out of 5 Could have been better Amy, Indianapolis, IN, 2006-06-08 Days Inn at Ybor City was not up to par. The carpet in our room was disgustingly stained and there was a very bad odor. The location was ok. Across the street was a home for prisoners when they get out of prison, and upon our arrival we were asked for money by a bum, that then followed my boyfriend up to our hotel room wanting more money. I called the front desk and complained but nothing was done. luckily our vacation kept us busy and we were only in the hotel room to sleep and shower. We will not stay at this hotel again and plan on contacting their corporate office on the quality of the hotel. Score 1 out of 5 Needs Repairs Anonymous, Las Vegas, NV, 2006-05-29 There is a gas station next door, but most places to go are in driving distance. The hotel was located next to the freeway, but located mostly next to homes. The Days Inn need repairs. The shower did not have a shower head on it and the bath tub had cracks. We believe the shower above was leaking. We asked for more towels when they cleaned because there was three people staying instead of two and we did not recieve it. I can not comment on the morning breakfast or pool amenities because I did not use them, but the pool did not have a spa with it Score 3 out of 5 CHEAP MOTEL Nancy, Baltimore, MD, 2006-05-07 Do not go to a hotel if you have no idea what the neighborhood is like. The hotel we stayed at was located in a very bad neighborhood. Upon arriving to the hotel a women was at the car asking us for money to feed her children. The first room we were placed in had no locks. The bathroom in room #307 had mold around the tub toilet had to be flushed numerous times in order for it to be cleared out. I think the worst hotel I have EVER stayed at. To top it all off lock did not work at all. It had been broken off. I will say that the lady that checked us in was very helpful. I felt a lot better once we were moved and given a room on the top floor. Score 2 out of 5 Review Anonymous, New York, NY, 2006-03-18 No review provided by user Score 2 out of 5 Wrong Room Anonymous, Miami, FL, 2006-02-19 We checked in at this hotel around 8 PM. There was a 15-minute wait to check in, the result of lots of business and a single clerk. When we finally got a room, and went and opened the door, it turned out to be already occupied! Fortunately no one was in, though they had left a lot of clothing around. We then had to go back and wait to get another room, without any apology for the mistake. Score 4 out of 5 OK FOR WEEKENDS Anonymous, Allentown, PA, 2005-09-05 Very close to Ybor City. This hotel was overall ok. I would not stay there for longer than a weekend. We were only in Tampa for three days, so it was ok for that time. There were a few things that needed work in the room however. The paint in the tub was peeling off and needed repair and the room felt damp. Other than that it was ok, again for the few days we were there. If you plan on staying longer spend the money for a nicer hotel. Priced right though. Score 2 out of 5 On The Inside Valerie, Philadelphia, PA, 2005-07-03 I was dissatisfied with the outside of the hotel. There was construction and the area around the hotel was muddy and dirt. Not easy access for pedestrians. My first experience in my hotel room was unpleasant. There was a smell from the carpet being wet(I guess from being cleaned). The room did not have iron and ironing board as advertised. Refrigerator and microwave was extra and not come with the room as advertised. There was a continental breakfast available each morning. I was satisfied with the room service. Whenever I requested they were willing to meet my needs. |
