Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 conveinent location Anonymous, 2006-09-17 Close to movie theatre & shoppingSuper 8 Motel pool was enjoyed by the kids. It's location close to the mall gave several options within walking distance. Score 1 out of 5 An absolute toilet of a hotel Dean, Tampa, FL, 2005-07-05 This place makes the Red Roof and Motel 6, in the same general neighborhood, look like Fairmount properties. I wasn't sure my car would be safe and brought everything into the room with me, even things I didn't need in the room. The check in process was a model of inefficiency, though the staff seemed polite enough. The room was both dingy and filthy. There was actual writing on the walls in the bathroom, and the bathtub seemed to be permanently stained. The shower at my gym seems more hygenic, and I share that one with sweaty athletes! The walls between the rooms are paper thin and I heard not only the argument of the couple in the room next to mine but their "making up" as well. The location is convenient to the University, and that is about all it has to recommend it. University Mall has definitely seen better days, and there were only chain restaurants close by. There are also many closed businesses around that part of town, some of them I'm sure due to Ivan, but mostly just to a declining economy. My advice: stay here only if it is all you can afford. Score 4 out of 5 Updating Barbara, Panama City, 2005-07-02 You could tell that the motel was in the process of being updated. The a/c was old and therefore extremely noisy, no clock in the room and no remote for the TV. I would try it again though. Score 2 out of 5 Cleanliness problems Anonymous, 2005-06-26 Although the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the pool was clean, I would not recommend this hotel. There was garbage littering the parking area, and sacks of garbage, not in cans, by the back entry - the one closest to my room. More disturbing was the ceiling in the bathroom, which looked like it was about to cave in, and the black fuzzy mold on the bathroom baseboards. Score 1 out of 5 Past its Prime William, Indianapolis, IN, 2005-06-12 The lady at check in was took care of everything just fine, but the rooms were a different story. The door latch on the first room did not need a room key to open from the hall, and the second room had an air conditioner that would not turn off. There were gaps around the air conditioners in both rooms big enough to see outside, and I would assume let bugs in. The rooms were well arranged, but needed a deep cleaning. |
