Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 good location Anonymous, Cincinnati, OH We ate breakfast every morning at Perkins accross the street. The buildings seemed well kept and the grounds were really laid out nice and they were pretty. The first room we had was large and also the bathroom was on the large size. We really felt comfortabel in it. But we had very disruptive nexr door neighbors all night/early morning long and we moved to another room for the remander of our stay. The hotel was accomadating. We had a variety of choices of places to eat, some within walking distance. The hotel provided a Orlando shuttle service although we had to pay for it. The hotel did not have one of their own. Score 1 out of 5 MOLD INFESTED - SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN! Heather, Memphis, TN, 2006-09-17 I highly recommend that if you absolutely HAVE to stay at this hotel - Get a room with an interior entrance! The 1st room I was assigned (had an exterior entrance) smelled terribly of bleach trying to cover up mildew. After a quick inspection, found mold GROWING on the walls of not only the bathroom, but RIGHT NEXT to the head of the beds. I was put in another room after complaining -in the same building - at first, the smell was better however, the mildew was still there. Again, mold on the walls! I was then transferred to another room in a different building with interior entrances and the room was fine - Nothing spectacular, but no mold growing on the walls. Score 3 out of 5 Over-rated!! Anonymous, Springfield, IL, 2006-09-17 There's a great strip mall 2 blocks downWyndham Orlando Hotel Resort was very well maintained on the outside and the main lobby and conference rooms. But when it came to the individual rooms that is where it stopped. They were old and smelled very musty. The lock on our door did not work and after going to the office on three different occasions to obtain a new key card were finalyy moved to another room and we still had the same problem there. The price for the room was high and the amenities in the room looked like a second rate motel. Score 5 out of 5 great pool Allison, Milwaukee, WI, 2006-06-22 Many good dining places near by. A great place called Fish Bones. A little on the high side but great food.My stay at the Wyndham was great. Many places to eat within walking distance. The pool was GREAT! This was a great place for families and couples. Not too crowded with little ones, 3 pools to enjoy the weather. Always a seat available at the pool. The food on the grounds was tasty. The only thing I was not happy with was the shuttle bus to Disney. You have to pay for your shuttle and reserve your seat early and they only leave at specific times and days. Shuttles are not included with your hotel stay. Score 5 out of 5 Vey Family Friendly James, Boston, MA, 2006-04-21 Lots of activities and dining options within walking distence.Great location to visit Disney and Universal. Hotel staff exceptional helpful and courteous. The pool, gift shop (ice cream excellent) were all outstanding. Many things within walking distence, especially the sports bar across the street that had 100 T.V.'s. The only negative aspect of our stay was the dust balls around the bed. Although the cleaning staff came everyday with towels, they could do a better job cleaning. Score 5 out of 5 Great Location - Right off Route 4 (Exits 76A) Anonymous, Washington, DC, 2006-04-13 Multiple options for meals from fast food to elegant sit down in a range of prices. The Wyndham Orlando Resort is a great choice if you want to enjoy Disney and Universal Studios but not stay on the attraction property. It's about 5 mins away from Universal Studios and 15 from the Disney attractions. You can also take Route 4 East to Daytona Beach (50 mins) or West to Tampa. The hotel is actually several individual two story buildings (maybe 14?) with no elevator. Be sure to request a 1st floor room if you have a lot of luggage. All rooms have a sliding glass door with a small sitting area with two chairs and a table. Requesting a courtyard facing room will keep you from having a view of the parking lots. Lots of restaurants close by and Ripley's Believe It or Not is next door - pricey but the kids loved it.
