Most recent user reviewsScore 1 out of 5 Don't Ask for Help Richard, Tampa, FL There are over a hundered restaurants on International drive. The Westgate Palace has nice rooms but the building has been under renovation for two years. You still walk thru construction debris to get into the hotel and not all the amenities are available because of it. Yet, they keep raising their prices and the staff continues to get ruder. This will be our last stay here as your laptops won't work in the room--no connections. Don't ask for regular towels or expect the bed to actually be made, they pulled the comforter over the top only. Asked the front desk to call a cab, when we went down to get it in 15 mins, no cab, but she did hand us a slip of paper with the phone number for a cab! Bottom line is, Bad management from top to bottom. Score 3 out of 5 Review Anonymous TH E LOCATION IS PRETTY GOOD, MANY FACILITIES NEARBY Score 5 out of 5 Absolutely beautiful. The rooms were lovely. Anonymous, Tirana Universal Studios is less than 5 mins away. All the Disney Parks about a 15 min drive. There are 2 large Malls less than mins away. The Westgate Palace was a dream. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The Masterbed room has a jacuzzi tub that the entire family had to tryout. We had a great time. Everyone was extremely friendly. There appeared to be some renuvations going on but we never were disturbed by any noise. We were in a good spot to visit all the amusement parks. We will definitely stay here again. Score 5 out of 5 Great Overall Stay Anonymous, Los Angeles, CA There are plenty of nearby retaurants and attractions. Universal Studios was about a 5 minute drive. The room I got was a great deal for the money I paid. In all there was 2 bedrooms, two bathrooms, livingroom (with sleeper sofa), kitchen, washer and dryer.... Room was very clean and the view was great. It did seem short on parking a couple nights (Possibly due to construction of second building) but we always found a spot. The TV in the living room stopped working but they had someone to our room within 10 minutes of our phone call, and it was replaced within 20. Score 5 out of 5 Really a Condo robin Ask the staff where the local grocery store or Wal-Mart Superstore is for groceries/provisions. Stores on I-drive area are small and a bit pricey. Restaurants on I-drive where we ate were reasonable and pretty good.Very convenient, spotlessly clean and very well maintained. The beds were comfortable and furnishings are quite nice. Many restaurants within walking range - lots of ethnic restaurants. 3 TV's in the room and warm outdoor pool. Excellent value and much more liveable than a hotel. Score 5 out of 5 VERY FAMILY FRIENDLY Betty, 2006-04-24 THE WATER PARK WAS DIRECTLY BEHIND THE HOTEL THERE WERE VARIOUS RESTURANTS WITH IN WALKING DISTANCE. THE CONVENTION CENTER WAS ALSO NOT FAR.THE ROOM WAS VERY COMFORTABLE LARGE AND AIRY THE VIEW WAS GREAT. I HAD SPACE FOR ALL MY TRAVEL ITEMS. THE KITCHEN AREA WAS EXACTLY WHAT I HAD HOPED FOR. ALL THE ATTRACTIONS WERE NEAR BY AND THE STORES WERE WITH IN WALKING DISTANCE I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH MY STAY THERE AND I WOULD LOVE TO DO IT AGAIN. Score 5 out of 5 good value Anonymous, Fort Lauderdale, FL, 2005-10-09 There is no restaurant in the hotel but a good kitchen in the room. Bring food to prepare in the kitchen to save money. The Westgate Palace is a new hotel with great rooms. We had a suite with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room and large kitchen with utensils. The only negative is that, currently, there is no restaurant in the hotel. The location is good-- very close to Universal Studios and Wet n'Wild but a little bit of a drive to Disney World. Score 5 out of 5 Luxurious Accomodations Lois, Lexington, KY, 2005-04-11 The Westgate Palace Hotel was an amazing value. Full kitchen, Jacuzzi tub, marble floors, sitting area, two bedrooms, and a state-of-the-art entertainment system made for a comfortable and relaxing stay. A return trip is planned. We might even bring the kids. |
