Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Great location Ralph, Chicago, IL, 2007-03-14 A whole bunch of dining and shops on or near international drive.Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa is located ideally for people wanting to visit Disney, Sea World and Universal. All of these attractions are just a few miles away. This is a very large time share location and the offers a lot to it's guests. My biggest complaint was about the cleanliness of the room (It was kind of dirty). Hotel staff was very helpful and very courteous. I would probably stay here again for the location and price. Score 4 out of 5 Worth It Anonymous, Tampa, FL, 2007-03-11 Westgate Lakes Resort overall was good. The rooms are great - good size, tiled floors and all have great screened-in balconies. There are a bunch of pools on the property, a mini-golf course and boat rentals. One warning, this is overall a time share which means the service is slow, sometimes unresponsive, the maid service is extra and room service is limited to pizza and their restaurant. knowing that we had a blast. Great for kids and adults. Sand Lake Rd. Several nice dining options as well as some upscale chains.Score 4 out of 5 Nice Weekend Stay Richard, Detroit, MI, 2007-03-06 Universal Studios is a nice change from standard Disney fare...a little of everything for everybody.Westgate Lakes was a nice place to stay for our long weekend. The studio seemed a little small, but was functional. Had some minor malfunctions (safe didn't work, kitchenette drain was slow, no wireless internet yet) but those did not really bother me. However, the parking suffered....might have been due to Bike Week; had to find a place to park away from my building. Location was great as it was near many attractions and navigating around from the resort was a snap. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would certainly stay here again, but would like to get into a two bedroom when I do. This other desk was just a sales desk to try to sell you time shares. I don't think this is appropriate and the guests should be informed that this is what is going to happen. The only other complaint I have is that the first morning I was there the fire alarm went off in the building. It went on and off for over an hour and we were given no instruction as to what was happening. We didn't know if we should leave the room etc. No one came by or called. This was at 8am on a Sat morning. When I asked about it at the desk, they had no idea that there was a problem or that it had even occured. We did not spend much time at the hotel so for a place to sleep and keep your things it was fine. Score 4 out of 5 very family friendly ron, Orlando, FL, 2007-02-18 We had a late checkin and the front desk staff had me running from one place to another just to check in. they thought I was there for a tour and it took forever to check me in my room. There were no parking spaces for me to park and I had to walk a distance to get back to my building. There was someone alarm beeping all night long and no one seemed to care. Overall it a was a nice hotel. Amenities gallore and access to all other venues. Score 5 out of 5 Location Anonymous, 2007-02-12 I- Drive and all it's famous attractions. Sea World Disney complexs Olde Town Wonder WorksThe resort was centrally located to all the great spots in Orlando. Geting from location to location was so easy. The staff was very courteous in meeting any of our needs. The room was so relaxing. We are already planning our next trip to go back. |
