Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Aesthetically Pleasing Todd Shopping and dining are all withing a short walking distance of The Peabody. And it was nice to know there was a trolley you could take up and down the area. The overall appearance of The Peabody was very beautiful, nicely decorated for the christmas holiday. Outdoor waterfalls were very pleasing to the eye. However, very hard to converse with valets as it is very hard to hear with the waterfalls but very nice touch. Checking in took way to long and they failed to give me a key to my in room service bar and had to call and ask to have one delivered to my room when is should have been included at check-in. Parking spaces are very narrow and hard to maneuver in and out of. The rooms were nothing special your standard room which is not what I expected but nice linens and pillows. Housekeeping staff was very friendly. Although, we had placed a call to get a wine opener delivered to our room took over an hour! again... not the kind of service you would expect. Also, when we went to there in-house steak house Capriccio Grill we encountered a bartender that had no idea how to serve a $149 dollar bottle of wine. In other words The Peabody needs to train there bartenders. So, overall I don't think I will use stay at The Peabody or recommend to anyone. Score 5 out of 5 Luxurious amber, Richmond, VA, 2006-11-04 Sea World is less than 3 miles away, as well as 2 outlet malls. This is a great hotel for a honeymoon, or high end travel. It is on the trolley line and service at the hotel was great. Score 2 out of 5 unhappy with hotel service fee jeffrey, Springfield, IL, 2006-10-15 The Orlando Peabody is a hotel, with the luxury amenities that a traveler expects in this class, and pays for. So why does management feel the need to charge an additional $8 per day at check-in for their hotel service fee? That fee buys you 2 bottles of water, 2 trolley tickets, and wireless internet in the room. We didn't need the trolley tickets nor the internet usage, and water from the tap is just fine; but we were not allowed to decline to pay the fee. And to top it off, the hotel desk manager was snotty when questioned about the fee. Hotel management needs to think about the customer's initial impression of their hotel, when forced to pay this mandatory fee at check-in. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and the ducks. Saw a number of kids who you could tell from the size of their eyes that the ducks swimming in the fountain was the highlight of their trip . We didn't get saucer eyed but it sure was pleasant sitting in the sun filled atrium with a drink watching. Score 5 out of 5 Great business class hotel Anonymous, Tampa, FL, 2006-09-04 Seaworld is very close. The Peabody Orlando was very comfortable and clean. The bathroom had many upgrades inc a TV. The shuttle to outlet shopping is a very nice touch. The restaurant selection was limited to the Diner for families with children. We ate there 2x and the food was excellent. We enjoyed the very large pool and the cabanas are a very upscale touch.
