poor choice

It is really run down, and I felt depressed after driving by all the other nice hotels and then returning to this one. Other hotels are nicer and cheaper. International drive is so congested in this spot I could not get in and out of the parking lot at all the important times of the day. The room was old and worn (not the staffs fault) and the bathroom door hit the toilet bowl and could only close because a groove had been worn in it. During the stong wind of tropical storm Ernesto the window frame fell apart leaving us to wonder if the window was going to blow in. Guys it is not worth the money you will save staying here when you have to hear your wife complaining. The location was one exit on I-4 away from Sea World and Universal studios, but pretty far from Disney world.

The only good thing about the hotel was the pool. The rooms are very very small. I found a roach in the bathroom and the staff said they would send someone to take care of it and never did. Although the room sucked the location is in a good place. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

Not worth the little money you pay...

Taking the I-ride downtown at only $1/ride is a great money saver!

This hotel seemed to be a great option at such a low price. The old addage is true, you get what you pay for. After arriving late evening, I had to check in standing outside through what looked like a plate glass bank window. When I finally got checked in, I was able to encounter the severly outdated elevator, which was extremely dirty! There was standing water everywhere and no place looked clean. The room sufficed as a place to sleep, but I wouldn't want to spend any more time in there than I had to. The tub put out red water everytime you started it. Also, housekeeping left our door open after cleaning (This was after they were down the hall... they just didn't pull it tight enough). I would NOT reccommend this hotel to anyone. Please, spend a little more and go ELSEWHERE!

It is located in front of Wet & Wild.

The hotel needs some remodelation, specially the rugs are too old. In the other hand, the Hotel and it facilities are very good for the money that I paid. It has a great location.

1. There are many a few favorites like TGI Fridays , chili's, Pizza Hut and Dennys with classic meals that are all within walking distances away. 2. If your looking for entertainment with dinner there is the pirates dinner theater just a few feet from the hotel or hop the I-Ride for a short ride to the mystery dinner theater show.

Everybody on the staff was very friendly for our entire stay. We had so many questions about the area and about our stay and they answered every one of them for us. We must have called them and stopped by the office 15 or more times during our week long stay and they were still just as friendly and patient with us. When we got to our room it was very clean and we had everything we needed. The pool and deck area was very clean and kept up our entire stay. The hotel was located by so many little shops and restaurants you could walk almost anywhere you needed to. They provided a shuttle to Universal Studios for free with our stay. It was just a wonderful stay for the whole week.

great vacation hotel

there are many great resturants and places to shop just a short walk away. park your car and explore the area!

this hotel was right in the middle of many resturants, shopping and family entertainment. disney world and universal studios were just a short drive away. it was easy to get to off of I-4. they have a nice pool area and a great breakfast room with a lot of choices. for the business man there is also internet accsess in the room. very nice and comfortable.

Universal Studios Parks, Sea World, Wet 'N Wild, and Disney World are all a short distance drive from the hotel.

I am somewhat dissatisfied with my stay due to the following: the hotel staff and cleaning crew were so unfriendly and follow up with our requests for our rooms to be cleaned; I had to sweep, clean and make up our beds every days we were in our rooms, the continental breakfast was okay, the location was of the best quality in ways that it was very convenient. Since this was our 1st time at this hotel/vacation, we have learned what to expect and to prepare better next time. Lastly, we will NEVER stay at the Howard Johnson ever again.

make sure you have a rental car

good hotel but its located near some busy rides so if u like going to bed before midnight good luck. it is near all the parks and attractions which is a big plus.

there are quite a few gift shops right acroos the street from the hotel.

my stay at the howard johnson inn in orlando fl. was very pleasant. the staff made me feel very comfortable and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and pleasant. yes i would definitely reccommend this hotel to my family and friends.
