Good location for airport

Best Western Airport Inn,is in a bad location for car traffic. The staff was mediocure, maintenance very poor. Vending and ice on diffrent floor. Would not recommend this hotel to a friend.

Ten minutes to Salt Island Restaurant

I was within 10 minutes of downtown for my business and the same time to reach lots of restaurants on International drive, plus close to the airport.

There was no furniture in our room except for the bed and a small table with two straightback chairs. When I told the clerk we had no place for my wife and I to sit down, she said that was because we had a standard room, but if we upgraded to a Suite we would have a couch in the room. There was only one facecloth, one bar of soap, two facial tissues in the box, the air conditioning was set at maximum when we went into our room and the room was warm. Next morning I asked the clerk to have those things taken care of, she said they would. But we accidently left the Do Not Disturb sign on our door, and no one entered our room all day. So it was even worse the second night than the first. When I checked with the clerk the next morning, she said some man standing near her behind the counter had said he checked the air conditioner and it was okay. I told her about the room condition and that no one had entered the room, so did not see how he could have checked the conditioner. And if he had entered the room, then he should have told room maintenance that no one was in the room and they should clean it. Very dissatisfied with the entire experience at this hotel. Would not stay they again or recommend it to anyone. Have never been in a room, regardless of the classification, that did not have easy chairs to sit in - except in a couple of cheap hotels that we quickly left.

The Elevators Smelled Terrible!!!

I was very dissatisfied with this hotel. The hotel staff were very unpleasant. Just as soon as you got on the elevator you could hardly breath. It smelled like dirty wet sneakers. The room had very large water stains on the ceiling and the vents were so clogged with dust and dirt that I don't know how they even worked at all. The pool was filthy and freezing. To top the whole experiance off. When we called to get on the airport shuttle for the following morning the front desk attendant stated that that shuttle service was overbooked already. He said that I would have to call a taxi and pay for it myself. I quickly responded that they told me on the phone when I booked the room that they promised airport shuttle service. Once I complained enough he booked another airport run for a half hour later. The man that was operating the van was very rude. I am hoping that this review is read by anyone thinking of requesting a room at this place.
