Most recent user reviewsScore 2 out of 5 Sadly it looks better than it is... Eduardo, 2007-02-16 The bigest problem is that the acondicionar air does not have control at the rooms, it is controlled by the hotel so you need to call the reception and ask to modify the temperature, which was very problematic and I was sick for it. Our bathroom does not has the shower divider so every time that we were taking a shower the floor was totally wet. The last day the fire alarm was activated for the steam of the shower. Score 4 out of 5 Nice and quiet Anonymous, 2007-02-05 The nightlife was only ten minutes away, with the cost of a cab ride only being $12.00The Mimosa hotel and spa was a nice boutique hotel. The staff was very friendly as well. It was quiet and peaceful. I enjoyed my stay there. Score 2 out of 5 My review of The Mimosa Hotel & Spa Anonymous, 2006-12-16 There was no valet service for my car with a sketchy parking lot across the street. I had to take all my bags in without any help from the hotel management after a seventeen hour day. I had find the cart, load the cart, roll it up to my room all along slamming the cart into the very narrow hallway that led into to my room. Meanwhile, there was a staff person available to help me. I inquired where the gym was in the hotel and told me that the gym was actually a gym that hotel members go to down the street, I asked its hours, did not know any of it's information. All in all, not the best experience. Score 4 out of 5 Very friendly staff and helpful Barbara, Philadelphia, PA, 2006-05-30 Now too close to the nightlife, but close enough, If you want the excitement of South Beach when you want it, it is a short driving distance.I like everything about this hotel. The only complaint I would have was it was a bit noisy at times, otherwise I would stay there again. It was my second visit. Score 5 out of 5 Nice hotel fo rthe price Anonymous, 2006-04-24 I was very satisfied with the Mimosa, the rooms are small but very comfortable and niceley designed, the location for me was great since I did not want to be in the South Beach crowd but I did want the Miami Beach flare. There are 2 things that need to change and that is the shower the floor is made out of shiny tile and is very slippery and I almost fell a couple of times. The rack in the bathroom is on top of the toilet so things kept falling in the toilet, that should be moved. The staff is very courteous and basically for the price it is a great place to stay. Score 4 out of 5 Mimosa Hotel and Spa Review Marcile, Dallas, TX, 2005-05-15 The hotel was very clean in all areas. The room was good, but it seemed rather sterile with a tile floor and it was noisy because I heard every word my next door neighbors said. There were no hairdryers in the rooms, but they did supply one. Maybe a few throwrugs in the room would help with the noise and may it seem more cozy. |
