The hotel was noisey, the hotel room was filthy, dirty, and unkempt. The maidservice was non-existent. The court yard was old and had a wooden walkway that looked rotted and the fountain water was moss green. I certainly would not stay there again. Score 4 out of 5 Good location Anonymous There were lots of places to eat breakfast and reasonably priced!The hotel was in an excellent location near shops, restaurants and only 1 block from the beach. However, the rooms are small. I asked for a wake up call on the morning of departure and it was never received. On another day, I was trying to return beach towels to the front desk and the staff was on his cell phone the entire time. Score 4 out of 5 pleasantly surprised.... Larry, Dayton, OH Lincoln Road and Espanola Way offer so many choices, it's impossible to identify one. Plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby, impossible to visit all of them in two or three days.While surfing and comparing rates, the Beach Plaza came up with a great rate and I was instantly concerned. Upon arrival, and right through the entire stay, the hotel staff was VERY courteous. The room was on the small side, but was clean and when I noticed a light bulb was burned out, I left a message and it was instantly replaced. The housekeeping staff was equally attentive. Great value for the money - if any gripe, it would be the lack of parking, but is common with all of South Beach and not isolated to this hotel. Andrew, Pittsburgh, PA I was there for the location and all of the activities in the area. So, I was not focused on the activities at the hotel. If I were, I would not choose this hotel since there was not a pool or a fitness center to accommodate my needs. Found the hotel assessable to the beach and areas to shop and for restaurants. Would recommend this for the assessability if your only need is to sleep at the hotel. The bathroom was small and the room was poorly lit. It had a damp, moldy smell. Still, it is walking distance to Ocean Blvd and the beach. So if the little things don't bother you then this is a good hotel. |
