Piotr, Atlantic City, NJ walgreenshere is my story..this is not hotel but motel that is located one block from beach on very busy and going thru major construction road as well as hotel development(not one that we stay at). we arrive late about 1 at night and sorry to tell you that but there was no one at desk.we foun d this hotel to be dirty and rooms are far from being rated as any good class hotel.no stars for that one. it took my girl about 1 hour to clean bathroom.i was ready to live but I was to tired to do that in the middle of the night.be prepare to pay 10$ per night for parking. here is another part..I asked hotel stuff to switch our roo to something better.hear this...they did...they try to put as in room where there was plywood(typical luone painted with clear cote).overall..don't do it...stay oway from this one..is not you money worth.it is located about 10 minutes drive from south beach.. Score 2 out of 5 run down and stank Anonymous, Boston, MA The beach of course! The fastest way to the beach was through the hotel across the street, only if you dont get stopped by thier staff. If so you have to walk to the end of the block to fing a public entrance. This place sucked it was so small that it took me a hour to find it, the room was musty, I had to steal the wireless connection from a karate dojo outside by keeping the computer on the window sill. the beach was hard to get to, the pool was dirty and in the parking lot. If you like the more quiet laid back areas of the beach then you would like it here, but its too far from south beach if you like action. I wont be staying here again. Score 2 out of 5 Many Disappointments! Leonard, 2007-03-12 There were many excellent Cafes and restaurants within minutes from the hotel (Cafe Mimi's for breakfast and Las Vegas Restaurant for Cuban food were but two), but we found this out by exploring ourselves and asking people on the street. Hotel clerks were no help whatsoever. It has very non-descript exterior and we in fact passed it twice before realizing it was a hotel. The check in area and lobby was nice enough but once into the hotel proper, the carpeting had a sickly color and odor because it must have been there since the Eisenhower administration! Cracked walls and many layers of paint covered up I don't want to think of what. There was a big empty and dirty space where the ice machine used to be. Correct: there was no ice available at all! When we asked that maybe the hotel get a small cooler with a little ice we were told no. The room was equally antiquated as indicated by the small flourescent light on the ceiling. The room had a sliding glass door that led to a balcony but there was no sliding screen door! To get fresh air we had to leave the door wide open, which allowed bugs inside. The view from our balcony overlooked the parking lot and the unattractiveness of the back of the hotel. There was only one divider on the balcony, which meant if there was someone in the room next to us, we would have been sharing our space. On a positive note, the bathroom was clean and had a good shower, although there was a small shelf over the toilet that was so poorly installed that anything put on it fell over and rolled into the toilet! When we asked the desk clerk where we could get breakfast he recommended the IHOP three blocks away, neglecting to mention there wre at least a half-dozen other cafe's and eateries that far surpassed the IHOP in terms of quality and local flavor. On another positive note, the bed was changed daily although the sheets were the wrong size and kept coming off. The pillows were flat and uncomfortable and the towels were so worn that they could almost be seen through. Thankfully, we did not spend enough time in the room to have it ruin our trip but would never, ever consider this hotel again. Score 2 out of 5 Lost Weekend Dominick, New York, NY, 2007-03-12 There are several restaurants and drug store in the area. When I first arrived it was very difficult to see the address or the name of the Hotel. Had I not parked in their lot and walked over to the front desk I would not have spotted the hotel. Once inside I noticed there were several guests having problems either with their key cards or no towels in the room. The clerk at the front desk was very very polite in trying to deal with the guests, it was this politeness that helped those guests relax somewhat while still being upset. When I got to the room I noticed trash bags outside the room & down the hall. As for the room it was clean. I could hear that the toilet was hissing & required the diaphram to be replaced. I noticed that there were no large towels in the room only two, which were twice the size of a wash cloth. I also noticed the fridge which to me was a major plus, especially since I drink a lot of water. I quickly ran out & bought a 12 pack of water only to find that the fridge was not working properly. When I went to the hotels ice maker, that wasn't working either. I notified the clerk of the fridge & lack of towels and he promply gave me two large towels & made a note advising maintanance dept of the fridge problem. The next morning I asked if they were coming up to take a look & he wasn't sure I asked if I could change rooms, but because it was the weekend there were none available. Score 5 out of 5 Cozy Rohama, 2007-03-12 WalgreensThis was my first time at this hotel, and I loved it. It was close to everything and had many convenient stores. They had changed us to another room due to a broken shower head in the bathroom, and the room they changed us to was bigger with a nicer view and a fridge. Loved it. I would go again to this hotel. Score 1 out of 5 NIGHTMARE HOTEL deborah, 2007-02-20 Bay breeze hotel is a dump. Services are very poor. The room that they first assigned to me was around the side of the building, thru a broken door, garbage, and broken fence, poor lighting. I complained, got a dump room by the pool. The smoke alarm malfunctioned, tub backed up, door was broken, phone sometimes worked, unsecure area of the beach. No beach access. When I called the office to ask about restaurant delivery in the area, they gave me the number to Pizza Hut. I was working at the Miami Int. Boat Show, female alone and it was necessary for me to take taxis, due to FEAR of arriving back to this hotel and area at nite alone. I drove around for hours before I finally found hotel. Representative repeatedly told me he didn't speak English clear and to call back in 30 minutes for the manager who never showed up. I tried to check in early and I didn't mind paying for an additional night and it toke an hour just to check in when the process itself only toke 10 minutes. The service was horrible as far as the front desk and only one representative was great. Other than that if I wasn't treated so disrespectful as a customer I probably wouldn't mind coming back. Also the elevator looked very scary and I didn't not want to go on it, it look as if it would break down.
