Most recent user reviewsScore 1 out of 5 Poor Quality!!!! Gerard, 2007-03-11 There are great shops around and the beach is within walking distance. The Clarmont Inn reminded me of a $20 dollar Hotel that should've been closed down. I have been to 100's of hotels all across the country and this was by far the worst. The lady at the front desk during check in was rude and acted like it was a burden to get me checked in. Score 1 out of 5 in need of imeadiate remodel brad, 2007-02-23 Location to beach and nitelife was good. The Clairmont hotel was very dated. The room had only a double sized bed that was hard as a rock and dirty. The room had several nite stands but yet did not have a chair or couch. The toliet was from circa 1950. The only positive thing was the location, South Beach Miami. Cross Collins Avenue at 17th street. For the money, you can't beat the Claremont Hotel's proximity to the Beach and Licoln Road (the shopping district). Overall, it's a pleasant place to stay; the rooms were comfortable, neat & clean and the houskeeping staff very nice. Only down side, the woman at the front desk was was rude to everyone and the toilet in my room ran at times. Oh, and it would be nice if the rooms had little refridgerators. Score 5 out of 5 A good place at a cheap price Anonymous, 2006-07-03 Lincoln Rd is definitely a good place to visit and it is in walking distance of the hotelFor the price that I paid the room was definitely not bad at all. Yes it wasn't the best I have ever stayed at but it could have been so much worse. My flight got in really late on a Friday and there was absolutely no problem checking in, everyone was very nice. It was only a block away from the beach and in walking distance to pretty much everything. I wouldn't recommend it if you are staying for a week or so because the rooms are somewhat small, but if you are only there for a couple of days and you are looking for something cost efficient than definitely. Score 1 out of 5 WASTE OF MONEY YESENIA, Indianapolis, IN, 2006-07-01 I WAS VERY UNSATISFIED WITH THE HOTEL. ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS TO NO ONE. I HAD TO PAY EXTRA FOR PARKING TWO BLOCKS AWAY. Score 3 out of 5 My review of Claremont Hotel Anonymous, Kansas City, MO, 2006-05-21 Everything is within a few blocks, food, shopping, and the beach. If you are just going to be in and out of your hotel room like we were, it worked out great! The shower and sheets were clean and thats what mattered the most to me! I heard alot of bad things about this hotel after we made reservations, so I was a little nervous...but it all went well and Miami is an AWESOME place to be!!! Score 4 out of 5 great location for a good price kate, Miami, FL, 2006-05-21 few steps to the beach, shoping, nightlife and great diningexceptionaly good continental breakfast, Score 3 out of 5 Amazingly Adequate Anonymous, 2006-05-15 The beach is two blocks awayThe Claremont was fine for me. It was quiet enough and the bed although very firm was comfortable. The decor was tired and very dated. Location for the beach is very good. There is no parking lot or valet service on sight so you have to go two blocks to a municiple lot to park your car. There are no eating facilitiies in hotel but there are some within a couple of blocks. Hot water in bath very limited. Towels were very thin and worn. The AC was noisy at times. Not a place I would recomend for a destination but again good enough for my needs on this trip. Score 1 out of 5 VERY CLOSE TO BEACH Anonymous, 2006-05-07 this is in the heart of south beachWe had several problems with this hotel. Besides thin walls and loud neighbors.. we had ants crawling on our pillows. We checked out the very next morning, but the management refused to give us a refund for the second night. We were extremely upset with the hotel and feel we were ripped off! |
