Circa39 Hotel's a boutique hotel located in vibrant Miami Beach is elegant and sleek with great attention to detail and guest comfort. Just steps from the spectacular shoreline Circa39 is situated on Collins Avenue close to all the South Beach action but far enough away from it that the rolling waves of the Atlantic Ocean will gently soothe the guest to sleep.

Not enough resteraunts to walk to. Kitchen with not even a plate. Cocltails in the eve nice touch, cont breakfast difficult to negotiate in a very small apace. AC noisy. Vey clean. The rooms are clean and modern (only the exterior is Deco). The bed is very comfortable. Yet, there's no dresser for unpacking. The lobby is very cool. The staff provide friendly mostly helpful service (but often gave wrong info on hotel procedure). There is an eclectic mix of guests of all ages from all over. Ten dollars a day brings a varied breakfast, a beach chair and drinks for happy hour. The area isnt as hectic as the Center (which you must bus or drive to). Yet, with streets on all sides, you hear continuous noise from vehicles in your room and at poolside. Quieter back rooms are unfinished. There are nice hotels at a similar price-point with beautiful gardens and pools right off the ocean. For me, that would be the way to go next trip. Score 5 out of 5 Convenient and Friendly LLOYD, Dallas, TX, 2006-09-20 The beach is just across the street. If you rent beach chairs and umbrellas, find a vendor/owner to rent from. Otherwise, the hired help may lock up your chair and leave while you take a break from the sun. You may return to find that your "all day" rental ended as early as 3:30My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Circa39 very much. The location is one block from the beach. The pool is clean and convenient. Although the hotel information packet says "Valet Paking," there is convenient self parking across the street at reasonable daily rates. The room was small and there were no hooks or racks in the bathroom outside the tub but there was a large closet for out of site storage for luggage. The room appeared to be very clean but the carpet was stained. there was only one small chair and a vanity stool so not much comfort offered apart from a very comfortable bed. It would be easy to add a recliner and maybe a small end table beside it. However, the enthusiastic and accomodating staff made up for most room and amenity deficiencies and, all in all, the most was made of the typically limited space of a "circa 1939" hotel room. Score 3 out of 5 My review of Circa39 Hotel Anonymous, 2006-08-22 Just a short drive to 20th and collins ave. Then you can see all the different cafes and restaurants to go to. Also lincoln ave. where there is good shopping and eating.I see the modern look and where they are going with the hotel. The lobby was "hip and cool". They have a complimentary breakfast that is simple but nice. Although you have to get up early to enjoy any eggs or sausage. They go pretty fast. The hotel staff was very polite and friendly. They do have a bar that has great potential of being busy but , I guess , people for get about it( it could be because of the crooked lit-up sign in the front). The hall toward the room was a bit humid It felt like I was entering a indoor pool. The lighting in the hallway was cool with purple-blue lighting. The rooms had light brown carpets that did not go with decor. There were a bit of splashs of "stuff" on the wall and random things on the floor. They housekeeping does do some cleaning but not thorough. They did not use the vacuum once. But they did change the sheets. It felt a little humid in the room as well. The sheets had a moist feeling that was a little irritating. It is quite far from the main "party area" or ocean drive but you can take a cab, which is right outside for $8-$10 or a bus for $1.50 . I did, in fact, love, the music they played through out the day. I also loved the fact the beach was just across the street. It was ok. Score 5 out of 5 Amazing Service above and beyond kevin, New York, NY, 2006-06-04 The bus stop is right around the corner, ad taxis are always driving by every minute. It was very convenient to get wherever u wanted to go, eithe rby bus or cab.I took my girlfriend to SOBE for the 1st time, and we didnt want to stay anywhere near the crazyness, so we decided on Circa 39, which is a 5 minute bus ride to South Beach. This was the absolute best deal ever. The staff were very helpful, very friendly, and they were always present anytime of the day. Our carpet was quite dirty, but we were there only to sleep pretty much. The lobby was very trendy and a warm welcome. I would def recommend this hotel to anyone who would like some peace when they are there. The staff is one of a kind, and they really won the both of us over. Score 5 out of 5 Perfect relaxing Vacation Terry, Boston, MA, 2006-04-14 Don't rent a car if flying in. We used public transit everywhere and there was never any issue. Everybody was very helpful with directions. My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Circa 39, The staff was always helpful. The Hotel was wonderful. I would go back in a minute. Score 1 out of 5 very misleading, a shady place robert, New York, NY, 2006-03-01 You can eat across the street at the cadillac or other hotels. THE BEACH IS CLOSE BY.I rented a car one day and informed the front desk at least two people, several times that i had returned the car after only one day and was billed for everyday until i explained that they couldn't even show me the ticket stubs. That was taken care of, i thought it couldn't get any worse until i had a hundred dollars stolen from me by the house keeping while we were at the beach. I Had a police report made up and the General manager still would not compensate for any of the problems that his hotels staff had given my girlfriend and I. The dining in this place is a joke. Score 4 out of 5 Super 8 Motel with attitude Anonymous, 2006-02-25 The beach was right across the street and very easy to access. We used the little bar and grill set up at the Couryard by Marriott right across the street for frosty beach side cocktails and quick bites to eat.Circa had the feel of a low budget hotel that was trying to appear trendy. The room was pretty bare bones, but the bed was comfortable. The bathroom toilet had a pretty unsavory looking brown stain in the bottom and of course it did overflow. The person who could fix it was stuck in traffic and late that day, but the housekeeping staff tried very hard to make it right. Overall, we got what we paid for but next time I'd stay somewhere else. Score 4 out of 5 Quiet but Not much Value Anonymous, Dallas, TX, 2006-02-07 Location is good for access to South Beach and greater Miami. Prices are rather high given the lack of amentities. Room was very dirty; carpet badly needed replacement. Housekeeping did very little to help. Like most of the area rooms in Miami Beach, you do not get much in buildings that have been parially rehabed; trying to maneuver in the bathroom is an exercise in agility itself. On the plus side; Staff are friendly. Valet parking worked very well. |
