Still in the 70s

This hotel can only be described as tired. The decor was tired. The mattress was stained the elevator was missing a panel and had cracked tiles. The laundry room was filthy. The decor was straight out of the 70s. The only real plusses were its proximity to Disneyworld's downtown and its bellstaff. I could never recomend it to anyone with so many better options available in the vacinity! This is a review from someone who is generally satisfied with the Best Westerns I have stayed in in the past.

Theres a strip mall about 10 minute walk with several shops and restauants

The Best Western LBV was very poor at educating their guests on their hotel. First they charge an automatic quatuity which we didn't notice the first 2 days so we were tipping 35%. After a charge you are never given a receipt and your check out bill is not itemized. Other hotels we visited we always received a reciept.Most things that the hotel offered we did not find out til later in the week. It is a clean hotel we liked our room except we were to have a refigerator and toaster and we did not. We had several problems with T.V. The location was good. They advertise themselves as a Disney resort which is a bit exaggerated. They offer free bus service and thats it. Which you are charged 7.45 a day for. I would not stay there again.

There is a little outside mall with a Fridays and a Pizza Uno within a very short walking distance from the hotel. The mall also has a supermarket called Goodings with a nice wine selection.

This hotel was a good value for the money.

great relaxation place

The Perkins Resaurant was open late, and a welcome sight to midnight arrivals

The Best Western- Walt Disney World has an outdoor heated pool that was so relaxing between your park activities.The buses to Disney Theme Parks were prompt and the drivers were friendly and safe. The Room was clean and very comfortable. I would prefer the bathroom sink on the outside of the bathroom, but all was well maintaned.

It was clean. The staff was friendly, considering we are gothic. Beautiful view of the city... Overall I would highly recommend it and YES I would stay there again.

the concierge can give you priority seating cards and interesting discount at some of the Downtown Disney restaurants.

Very nice staff at front desk. Very helpful concierge, who made arangment for us for a day trip to Kennedy Space Center. Hotel is clean but some signs of wear. Bedding was kind of old. Good room service for breakfast and reasonably priced. Shuttle buses came every 30 minutes, on the dot, for Disney parks and Downtown disney. Downtown Disney is a 8-10 minutes walk. Many walking distance restaurant, at the Crossroad shopping centers. We would stay there again.

there is a grocery store half mile of distance .It let getting fruitd ,vegetables ,etc

They werw seven days of dreaming , all the family were very happy ,it had unlimited transportation to Disney Parks ,my children could use the Internet facilities ,we also used the fitness center without problems . there were unforgettable days .We hope return thenext year.

My review of Best Western LBV Resort Hotel in the Walt Disney World Resort

If you are in good shape you may not need a rental vehicle. There are many shops, stores, and dining to choose from, you may not need to leave disney propety. Keep in mind these walks are not long by most standards but when you have walked around and amusement park every day for a week, distances start becoming longer.

I have been visiting the Disney area for over 15 years as a child and adult. most of the time I have stayed off-property, from 2 star to 5 diamond hotels. From what I can tell for the money this is the best hotel to stay in if you want to want to stay on property but you need to be some what mindful of your spending. I the hotels on disney property was professional basketball league, the LBV Best Western would be an All-Star second teamer. If where to choose between a lower level "Disney" owned hotel such as any one of the Disney All-Stars resorts and the Best Western LBV, choose the best western.
