Outstanding Value

I was not sure what to expect before getting to the complex. Once there, everything about it was beyond my expectations. Although check in took some time, the staff was very helpfull from that point forward. This included a tour of the complex faciliteis and amenities as well as an individual escort to the building in which we were staying. We happened to reserve a studio unit...and what a pleasant surprise. It was very spacious, clean and relaxing...even for a family of four. It included a king bed in the bedroom, a fold out sofa, kitchenette, large bathroom with a jucuzzi, just to name a few of the features. We happended to be in one of the new buildings (5600) which haooended to have a great view of the small lake in the complex. Last, from a location standpoint it is very convenient (within 5 to 10 minutes) to most of the Orlando destinations, such as Disney World, Disney Village, International Drive and even the outlet mall. I would recommend this facility to anyone wanting quality accomadations at a very reasonable price.

The Westgate Town Center is verrrry isolated from the rest of the Orlando Area. The timeshare rooms were very nice ( if one wanted to stay at a timeshare). The facility was over-run with potential time share buyers. We had no intention of buying a time share and were subjected to pushy sales people. This property does not have a single place to even sit down and have a cup of coffee. The shower in the room has a glass door which lets the water run out and consequently the whole bathroom floor was wet.

There are several american buffet restaurants close-by.

Pros: The room was a nice size for the price, pretty clean & well-maintained, and had a nice, private view. It was located very close to Animal Kingdom and I-4, too. Cons: The bed was very uncomfortable and the room did not have a big screen TV, as promised. If I do not return, it will primarily be a result of the 55 minute (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) check-in process at 9 - 10 PM, when it's not even busy.

Luxury For Less

This hotel is also a timeshare and has all the amenities that anyone could ask for. Although it's in Kissimee it is about 10 minutes from Disney World. It is fabulously appointed with a big screen TV, VCR and a full kitchen with all the utensils you need to whip up a gourmet meal. The seperate bedrooms also have T.V.'s and the whirlpool tub will allow you to relax all your cares away. I give Westgate Resort a 5 out of 5 stars. P.S. It is definiely family friendly. They have activities for the kids and plenty of pools!!!
