Most recent user reviewsScore 1 out of 5 Bugs...smelt of mold...old Anonymous, Buffalo, NY, 2007-03-03 There is a lot of shopping and restraunts nearbyThere were bugs in our room when we arrived. We told housekeeping, they assured us that it would be taken care of and that management would be notified. We left the room, came back 12 hours later to the same bugs. We did this for three days in a row, only we only came back to the room for 6 hours to try and sleep. We were afraid to put our clothes in the musty smelling dresser, because of the bugs. We kept our suitcases in the car, so they would not become infested. This was the first trip to Orlando for my children. I would have gladly spent extra to keep them bug free. I would not even be so upset if the problem would have been rectified once they were aware (if they weren't already). But, they did nothing to fix this once told by us. The hotel is in a great location with many other hotels nearby. Their continental breakfast is a little debbie snack (one choice) and coffee. Score 4 out of 5 great price, but shower early Anonymous, 2007-03-03 We checked in very late, so we didn't look around much. The room was a nice size. Everything was fine EXCEPT I ended up taking a cold shower in the morning. The hotel was filled to capacity and everyone got up early and showered, leaving me no hot water. Fortunately, (for my son) the water reheated to an acceptable warmth when my son was ready to shower. The IHop is right next door. very convienent to attractions. Really reasonably priced. Score 2 out of 5 It is OK Anonymous, Chicago, IL, 2006-12-30 It is close to disney worldScore 1 out of 5 close to attractions Anonymous, Nashville, TN, 2006-12-28 We were close to all sorts of restauants from fast food to buffet's shopping target just up the road. Publix grocery store. Attractions Old Town just up a block. Walgreens and Waffle house just next door. I really liked the conveniece to everything.I like the outside appearance of the hotel. I thought it was nice. We couldn't check in right away the rooms weren't ready. When we came back around 6 pm to check in . The clerk said our room would be upstairs toward the parking lot unless we paid extra for a room facing the pool. I asked for a room that was closet to the pool facing the parking lot. I didn't want to pay the extra for just facing the pool. but i wanted to be as close as I could. Apparently she didn;t understand and gave me a room the furthest away and in the very last building. Once we checked and went to the room we found out our room didn't have running water. We notified the desk clerk and again had to change rooms two doors down. I was pretty upset cause we had unpacked already. The laundry room had very small washers and very expensive. The cleaning of the rooms were not all very good but they did make up the beds and left clean linen. The pool was the best I have to agree with what I read befor I went. The pool was very relaxing. Also the beds were very small I don't know how they expect two people to sleep together. Next vacation I believe I'll be looking for a different hotel. Score 4 out of 5 My review of Rodeway Inn Maingate Anonymous, 2006-11-25 it was fine and on good location. Business was good too. I liked that place and the best thing hotel was close to Disney World... Score 5 out of 5 Great value Anonymous, Fort Lauderdale, FL, 2006-11-24 Its very close to the Disney attractions as well as Universal. The Rodeway Inn itself was clean and hotel staff very friendly. The room was very nice with a small refrigerator and microwave. It also had a coffee maker. The beds were comfortable. My only complaint was the paint smell. The room had recently been painted and the smell was a little overwhelming at times. The location was great, close to all attractions. It was a little difficult to spot unless you had someone actually looking for the sign. The bed in the room closest to the door slats exposed, thats not so bad but they had nails sticking straight up could have cut my self or my dog could have gottten injured. Upon check in we were directed to a time share person to receive a free welcome package that cost $10.00 to reserve and see a time share we were neither qualified for nor interested in. (I got the $10.00 dollars back)The clerk told us to lie to the sales man saying we made x amount of money. We did not qualify she said we would get 110.00 back after the presentation and a full breakfast. The HVAC unit had one temperature luke cold would not heat nor cool staff did nothing about this. Also a vast array of TV channels "7" We had more in the 60's on my parents old black and white TV. Whne those extra charges arrive on my card as of now 4 days later they have not i will refute them . |
