Good for the Budget

The Howard Johnson Inn at Maingate was a very short drive to Disney. The room was no frills, but clean and quiet. The hotel staff was friendly. The facility itself is older and needs remodeling, but for the price it was a good location and bargain. Also, there are several restaurants for family dining close by(and, kids eat free) and a free shuttle to/from Disney which saves you $10 in parking at the parks.

CHEAP BREAKFAST AROUND THE CONNER

I WAS VERY DISAPOINTED WITH THE HOTEL SINCE IT DID NOT PROVIED WHAT IS EXPESTED FROM HOTEL AROUND DISNEY. I CAN WITH THINGS THAT NEED TO BE PUT IN A FRIGE AND FOOD FOR THE MICROWAVE AND THERE WAS NONE. MY STAYED AT THE SAME FRENCHSISER DOWN A FEW BLOCKS AND MADE RESERVATION CLOSER TO TRAVELING DATE AND WAS CHEAPER HAD FRIDGE AND MICROWAVE AND CONTEPORY BREACKFAST INCLUEDED. SO MY FOOD HAD TO BE EATED SOONER THAN ESPECTED AND THE WATER WHERE NOT KEPT KOOL.

The Howard Johnson Inn has very large room and friendly check-in staff. It also has hotel-wide wireless internet access. However, it charges us extra 2.5 dollars per day because it is very close to Disney World. The staff call the charge incidental fees. I am so unhappy about that charge. Besides, no one will help you to clean the room and refill supplies. I need to call the front desk to help me to clean garbage. Overall, it is very cheap and with good location. But its service is not as god as I expected.

This hotel is a good value for where it's located. Just minutes from Disney. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Room wasn't perfect but, worth the money I spent. No complaints

Good seafood restaurant next door, I-Hop within walking distance.

There were bugs in the bathroom and we found the carpeting to be very dirty.

Arabian Nights Dinner Theatre

I stayed here on business. There is a Internet Cafe in the lobby the size of a shoe box with very limited hours. The check in area is shared with a Tour and Ticket counter, and the staff push Time-Shares and Cheap WD tickets. The rooms were so-so and not business traveler friendly. The coffee and coffee pot were a nice touch. The 24 Hour High Visibility Security was no where to be found over the four days I was here. I almost ran over six people trying to drive through the crowd of drunks in the parking lot outside my building breaking beer bottles and screaming. After a phone call to the front desk, well, nothing happened, they finally drank all their beer and went inside. The motel is easy to find and access with all the famous U-Turn strips along 192. There are alot of restraunts around, anything within walking distance is a Waffle House and A IHOP. I would recommend this place for a family on a budget who are going to WD or Sea World. It is only about ten minutes away and the cost is better than a closer motel. For anyone traveling on business. I do not recommend this place. Pay the extra twenty a night and stay in downtown Orlando or closer to WD.
