Musty smell. Shared a bathroom (1 toilet) w/ 3 other couples. We also shared showers. Inn itself is beautiful. Pool. workout room, bar, continental breakfast poolside, very nice. Would I stay there again? NOT IN THAT ROOM. There are rooms w/baths in them, so yes I would but I did not like the shared bathroom at all. The Inn is a wonderful place, staff is excellent, a little pricey, but what isnt in key west. I have stayed in worse. in Key West. The location is perfect and the Inn is beautiful. Score 5 out of 5 Great for Couples vanessa Dinning is just a short walk from hotel. The Lighthouse Court was a very comfortable and quiet hotel. Location was great, walking distance to bars and shopping but also quiet enough so you can have privacy also. The rooms were very clean and a good size. I will diffently stay at the Lighthouse Court again. Score 5 out of 5 Within walking distance Anonymous The Hotel was a very unique place. The room was small, but served our needs. The parking leaves something to be desired. We ended up parking at a lot that had to be a good 2 miles from the hotel, and paying a premium price to park there. I think the hotel should make some kind of arrangements with the parking garage for a special rate for their guests. Parking is a problem in Key West. We were in a good location, within walking distance from most attractions. There was free parking although the number of spaces was limited. The room was somewhat small, but very nicely done. The amenities were very nice and included new fluffy towels, upper scale toiletries, etc. The grounds were beautiful and breakfast on the many decks and patios was a nice touch. The staff were helpful and friendly. If I were to go back to Key West, I would definitely stay here again. Score 4 out of 5 Great Location Susan, Columbus, OH, 2007-02-12 The Lighthouse Court hotel is located directly accross the street from the Hemingway House and only one block from Duval Street a very convenient walk to most anywhere. The bed was low to the ground and had a very uncomfortable mattress. The pillows also left a lot to be desired. The bath was adequate size and although it appeared to have been remodeled not too long ago, I found the shower to be very unclean and even moldy in spots. I would recommend this hotel with reservations about the cleanliness and the comfort level. Score 4 out of 5 Location, location, location Eileen, 2007-02-09 Beware of roosters in the night, but that's Key West. The room was small but comfortable. The one thing I found lacking was no screens on any of the windows. We wanted fresch air but no bugs. The location is perfect, close to everything but off the main drag enough to be quiet. The staff were very courteous and accomadating. Basically good quality for a reasonable price. Score 5 out of 5 Pleasant ! Anonymous, 2007-02-07 Excellent eats - Eric's Bottega for DELICIOUS sandwiches, Five Brothers for the best Cafe con leche and Mangia Mangia for dinner - YUMPaid for a room with a shared bath to keep expenses down and got a room with a private bath because they were not terribly busy - this made me very happy. Room was very clean, pool area pleasant, fitness center excellent and location great - right across from Hemmingway's house. Desk clerk very pleasant and checking out an hour later was not a problem. The lights staying on outside all night were a bit of a bother but I finally fell asleep. Score 5 out of 5 Great Getaway Patricia, Chicago, IL, 2007-02-04 Lighthouse Court had a continental breakfast that was wonderful. There is a Cafe katty corner from the Inn, we ate breakfast there one day and the food was excellent. The Lighthouse Court was a great place to stay. The staff was very friendly and the other guests were very friendly. I liked that it was secluded but not secluded and one block off of Duvall St. We didn't go on the tour of Hemingway's house even though it is right across the street. We will do that next time. Parking was a problem. They do have spaces but they were full while we were there. The neighborhood was friendly and we parked across the street from the hotel. We had a wonderful time. It was a great example of ols Key West and we really enjoyed it. |
