Great Hotel - But Rent a Car

Terry, Minneapolis, MN, 2007-02-22

We just stayed at this hotel - actually its a full blown 2 bedroom condo with regular kitchen a living room, and a huge covered deck with view of the ocean . Spacious and beautiful best describes this place. Biggest problem is that you really need more than the two nights that we had to really settle in, suggest you stay at least 5 days/nights for that to happen. Take note though - this hotel is on the far side if the island from old downtown. The city bus service to the hotel is about once an hour at best, they come early some times - so you miss it, and the bus driver was very rude and very argumentative when asked about the fact that you were there on time - they were early. So we then decided that we just take taxies to and from town. Key West supposably is only two miles wide by four miles long, for being so small - it sure costs a lot to take a taxi to and from downtown! Most rides ran us $13.00 - $16.00 on the meter, so it ended up costing about $20.00 with the tip each time. Do not make the same mistake we did - just rent a car. It will cost you about the same as what two rides a day will cost you - and then you can come and go as you will. Have a great time in Key West - we did!

Very relaxed

Linda, Trenton, NJ, 2005-06-13

This is an excellent place to stay while in the Keys for relaxation and comfort. Very clean, very accessable, very comfortable. I would like to go back and stay a couple of weeks instead of just a few days. I would highly recommend this accomotation to my family and friends.
