Most recent user reviewsScore 3 out of 5 Review phil the rooms are not very clean, i use better towels to wash my car, parking is terrible. i was afraid to move my car because i knew i would not find a space when i came back. thank goodness the are tearing it down. Score 4 out of 5 Great location, no frills Anonymous This is basically a motel but the location is great--you can walk to everything--and the place accepts pets, which keeps us going back. It may be torn down soon for a condo projects. Score 2 out of 5 definately adult :) Anonymous, Minneapolis, MN, 2007-02-21 Duval was a great place to partyi thought the hotel was located nicely from the ocean, the pool was well kept and the bar staff was friendly. i didn't like the tile floors or the furniture, the bath room was to small and there were cigarette burns on the tub, there was mildew in the corners as well as the shower curtain, basicly not real clean Score 5 out of 5 Very 50's style Anonymous, Charleston, SC, 2007-02-12 Duvall Street is the main business center of Key West and Atlantic Shores is a very short walk to the sreet.Atlantic Shores was very fifty's in style or should I say very Florida. The room had a very nice queen size bed and 2 comfortable chairs, a nice refridgerator and TV and roomy closet. The bathroom was clean and handy. If I had any complaint, it was the shower head was so weak that is was hard to rince off the soap. Other then that it has a nice grill at the pool and very handy snack bar and well stocked convience store. You can have a ton of fun and never leave the motel. Also the motel is very well located near all the fun of Duvall Street. Score 3 out of 5 Satisfied Anonymous, 2007-02-11 It's right off Duval street which was helpful in getting home after a night of partying. The hotel staff (especially the girl at the desk) were very friendly and helpful :) The room was satisfactory for the amount you're paying in Key West; however, the floor wasn't clean which was a huge turn off. I'd return; but I'd make sure the room was to my liking prior to unpacking. Score 2 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2006-12-09 walk to main attraction is fine, it doesn't need to take public transportation.Score 1 out of 5 UPSET Anonymous, 2006-11-12 night life was nearby. The Atlantic shores hotel was aweful!!! Score 1 out of 5 Horrible dominic, 2006-11-06 When we arrived in our room, we noticed it was rather warm. After trying to make adjustments we found the air conditioner to be a block of ice. The office told us to turn it off to let it thaw out, this would take about 3 hours. It was 10:00 at night. Or he offered to move us. We had to pack everything back up and move it around to the other side of the hotel. We were in pajamas, doing this.Earlier we found a rather strange looking worm crawling across the floor of that room. In the new room, we found a wad of black hair on the spare toilet paper roll on the back of the toilet and bugs crawling all over the toliet. Not to mention the moldin the shower stall. After moving everything we were too tired to have to do this again, so we were unable to use the bathroom until morning ,when we went accross the street to where our friends were staying and were able to use theirs. This hotel is very run down and filthy. Score 2 out of 5 Surprising Anonymous, 2006-10-16 Well this hotel was definately different from any other hotel i have stayed at..if you like a diverse lifestyle and love to party till you drop you will like this area....my friend and i found ourselves driving in the car half the time cause the area was just not safe...the best part about the trip was a restaurant by the name of roof top cafe! third floor dining and a great view, most relaxing restaurant on the west side of key..cool and classy... made you forget where you were!! was a little on the pricy side but did not care...was well worth it!! Score 4 out of 5 Need to improve on People Skills at the front Desk Michelle, Tampa, FL, 2006-10-15 popular sites: Margaritiville Sloppy Joes Hardrock Cafe Willy T'sOver all I was satisfied with the hotel. However, when I checked in the person at the front desk was extemley rude.I was not impressed with her at all. This is a very old hotel and I think even for the location that it is a little pricey. Other than that it was a nice hotel. The rooms were clean and the neighborhood was not bad. |
